Comments about Polar RS 100 Heart Rate Monitor:
The heart rate monitor function seems right on, it is reliable, doesn't seem to drop the signal like Timex sometimes does. The interface is horrible and the features are not great. There's no alarm, you can't easily cycle through various modes. Setting a repeat timer takes a while and then it stays on until you turn it off. The features are not intuitive. It might have more of them than I realize but not sure that I'm willing to study the watch that much.

Comments about Polar RS 100 Heart Rate Monitor:
This piece of equipment is efficient, straightforward, and intuitive. Can't disagree more with earlier reviewer. Like any piece of equipment, it is the owners' obligation to inform themselves about specs and features. This thing won't do it for you. Excellent basic HR monitor and timer for running or cycling, love the fact that Polar products give heart rate as BPM and % of HR. In fact, I use a standard, wired cyclocomputer and the RS 100 for serious training and racing. The computer stays simple, the HR monitor stays simple.
