These windproof, highly water-resistant Pearl Izumi AmFIB® tights protect critical areas from the elements when training in cooler weather.

  • Kodiak® Therma Fleece fabric panels on rear and back of legs combine excellent moisture transfer with fleece warmth, comfort and a formed fit
  • Front of tights and center rear is laminated with stretch AmFIB fabric to provide highly breathable windproof and water-resistant protection

        These are great for temps from 25 degrees down to zero, for commuting. I don't think they would work as well for a long training ride, as you would probably become too warm. The ankle zips are very high quality, smooth and durable, unlike slightly cheaper tights. However, the biggest problem with these, as well as other Pearl Izumi products, is wildly variable fit amongst the same size/model on the rack. You can try on three mediums, and one will be large, one will be medium, and one will be small. ALWAYS try them on in the shop! They will stretch as you wear them, not shrink, so rather slightly tight than slightly loose. All windtights will be wrinkly looking compared to stretchy regular tights, don't think they don't fit, it's just the windproof fabric that doesn't stretch out the wrinkles!

        I have to stop several times a ride to pull these tights up. They are as short on back as my running tights, but maybe even shorter. Not enourh room for men's parts. No padding at all. Have a hole after just 1 moderate fall. Not warm in the most freezing places. I think these tights is not a good choice.

        As an avid road biker, I try to get out as much as I can. I purchased these pants to extend my riding into the winter months. It is money very well spent. These pants keep the perfect temperature anywhere from just below freezing to the mid 60s, even in light rain.
