      I've used this product to bring my coffee from home on my 8.5 mile bicycle commute each morning for the last year. The ride is about 40 minutes long. I fill the thermos, throw it in my pannier, and never worry about a leak, because this thermos simply doesn't leak if you use it correctly.

      My coffee is still steaming hot five or six hours later, which is outstanding. I've never tested longer than that.

      I compared this to the 0.5 L REI bullet bottle.
      Weight REI bullet- 12.8 oz (364.1 gms)
      Weight Zojirushi- 9.9 oz (280.7 gms)
      Both of these fit nicely into my Down parka pockets although the Zojirushi is shorter.
      I put boiling water into both of these and placed them in my freezer for 5.5 hrs. Final temps after removing REI- 160 F. Zojirushi= 158F
      The downside of the Zojirushi is that I am not able to fully push down the bottle button with mittens or cold weather gloves in order to open the top to get liquid out. I was able to use my teeth, but this is cumbersome. However, I can still unscrew the top in order to open it. Since I intend to use this for my summit bid, I will go with the lighter Zojirushi. If you're not concerned about weight, I would go with the REI bullet.

        Simply amazing. This keeps anything piping hot for a LONG time. My dad thought his Oxo insulated mug kept his tea hot for a long time, so we compared it to my thermos. Started with 210-F water, 1 hour later: mug=175-F thermos=207-F. The next morning (12 hrs) mug=85-F thermos=165-F. 165-F is still too hot to drink tea without blowing on it. We were both stunned. 24 hours isn't optimistic in my opinion.
