Comments about Eton FR400 American Red Cross Multi-Purpose Radio:
I put a con of "Loud Volume" but I guess it's really a pro. I bought this since I live in tornado country and am at the edge of the suburbs where the sirens aren't very loud. Through no fault of this item, the emergency bands do go off for any nearby severe storm so I've been startled awake multiple times by the very loud siren this radio gives off before giving the warning (so I'd suggest keeping the volume fairly low if near sleeping area). The internal battery does last a long time though. I can't quantify exactly how long, but I've left it unplugged for over a month and even with a couple of alerts, the battery still has a charge. If you don't already have an emergency radio (and everyone should), this is a great radio to get.

Comments about Eton FR400 American Red Cross Multi-Purpose Radio:
It is very lightweight. I like the three LED lights. Yes,I would recommend this to anyone who wants or needs a weather radio. And comes with a very nice black carrying case with strap.

Comments about Eton FR400 American Red Cross Multi-Purpose Radio:
I have used this item for a couple years now and I love it! Once you use the charged battery completely you can use the hand crank to recharge the unit. It has so many features that are really good. I would buy this again no doubt!
