I've owned 4 of these for over 20 years and they still rock. I've worn them for cold weather work, hiking, biking, snow sports, etc........ They don't wear out. Well worth the price.

The capilene line is my favorite line of baselayers, and had one big drawback in the past: too short. Now after the latest revisions the fit is excellent! Capilene 1 keeps me cool and protects from sun in our sunny climate, and keeps me dry and comfortable as a baselayer when climbing/trekking abroad. Highly recommended!

this is the best base layer for the places that is warm and wet. the material keeps you dry and cool. it compress well.

in fact, it air drys the fastest comparing to mountain hardware, nike's dry, marmot, under armour and etc, except Marmot's DriClim. But DriClim is a jacket which is for cooler climate.

since the material is polyester, it needs to be wash more frequent than wool based stuff to avoid smell building up. well, it drys fast, so, wear one while hang dry the other. :)

this is the classic base layer that worth every pennie. wish it costs less. :)

This shirt is always under whatever I'm wearing on the mountain skiing I also use it as a sun block shirt on my boat. it's light and acts both as a great shirt for added warmth. of by it's self keeps you cool in the hot sun on the water.
