Comments about Sorel Timberwolf Winter Boots - Men's:
I was looking to replace my old winter boots I use for snowsheoing. I went with this boot as it was lighter than most others, and it was on sale. They ran a half size smaller on the length, and felt too frumpy up around the front of the ankle. The upper portions are very stiff, with the top of the boot rubbing on my calf. The lace design does not allow you to really cinch the laces tight. They might be good for shoveling the driveway, but I would not recommend them for any type of winter sport such as snowshoeing long distances, etc.

This is a great winter boot. Always start with a good water proofing:[@]and good heavy socks.[...]

Comments about Sorel Timberwolf Winter Boots - Men's:
I got these boots for riding my bike to work. About the third time I went to lace them up, one of the lace clips pulled out. I popped it back in, and have been able to use them being very gentle when lacing up, but while in use a second clip popped loose while riding, luckily I didn't lose it. They are also a bit stiff for walking, but that isn't what I got them for anyway. If it weren't for constant fear of losing the ability to lace them up, I would give them a 5.

Comments about Sorel Timberwolf Winter Boots - Men's:
At first one of the boots was rubbing my ankle because of the tongue...usually fixed by just loosening the laces. But, after a few days that problem faded away and now they are very comfortable, dry and very warm.
I guess my only problem would be that they don't seem to have great traction on icy areas...but really, what boot does?
Wider foot bed is very comfortable and handles thicker socks, which you may not even need very often. So far they have kept me warm here in the Chicago winter.
Great value.
