      These pants are fabulous. I wore them through an extended rainy work trip in Glacier. They repelled water and wre amazingly breathable- a huge asset. We got very muddy with the work we were doing and these pants were easy to wash in the creek because they dried quickly and were ready for later that night / next day. THey do require some good scrubbing to get the mud off and full cleaning is best let for when you get home. They are lightweight and compressible- easy to roll up and throw in a daypack.

      I have no idea why they would be labled high waisted, I consider them to low waisted which is where my waist is and so these rain pants are perfect and sit right at my waist. If they went higher I'd be uncomfortable.

      I have an older pair that had no front pockets and actual elasticized cuffs which caused the pants to ride up and not stay down over my shoes.

      This model hangs down perfectly and does not ride up exposing my ankles and shoe tops. Great job Marmot! They are also not so long that I feel like I'm wearing balloon pants.

      They are very durable, if I liked the other pair I've had for about 8 years, I would not have bought this pair.

      These are great for the rain, and surprisingly durable. Unfortunately, the super elasticized high waist isn't very comfy. I compensated by buying a larger size; now they're kind of bulky. But they do the job well: I've never gotten wet in them.

      I used these pants while on a lengthy canoe trip-- and they were used almost every single day. I was skeptical of the pants at first because they seemed so thin, however, they held up quite well. I was wearing the pants mostly for rain protection but also for warmth. Water never leaked in-- even in the knees where they became the most worn out. The pants were not breathable, which wasn't an issue for me because I wanted to stay warm, but if you plan on needing them in a warm climate, you might want to try something that has a bit more breathability. Overall, these pants were great.

        I work outside (in Oregon) all day long, and these pants are perfect for Oregon rainy days. When it pours for an hour, these pants are completely waterproof, and lightweight enough to move around comfortably in. As the weather shiifts to mist and then sunshine, and then pours again, these pants remain comfortable, breathable, and dry inside. I have had no trouble with the fit--they are not the most flattering to a woman's figure, but they fit great, and allow for any range of movement. I feel like I must have a different product from the other reviewer, but it might be what one wears underneath--I wear a pair of fitness tights, they wick away sweat, and keep things lightweight enough to comfortably work hard in.

        I'm not high-waisted and I don't have a large rear. This product doesn't come up to my true waist without binding through the crotch. Uncomfortable for walking, barely OK for cycling. Nice and lightweight, though, and packs well in a pannier.

          These keep my legs 100% dry, and they cover most of my boot so when I step in mud or puddles they also help keep dirt and water out of my shoes. They are light-weight, although I cant really attest to their breathability since I usually wear them over another pair of pants when I go to work.

          Delivery was very prompt -- 2 days to Hawaii. I was pleasantly surprised and got to use them the next day.
