Comments about National Geographic TOPO! Outdoor Recreation Mapping Software - New England:

Yes the CD does install tons of maps on your PC. But it is not a replacement for topos I believe. If you wish to import data from your GPS and create routes, symbols, text, and stuff be prepared to be frustrated by clumsy tools and a lack of symbols, or small fonts that are not very legible.

I've been working with this product for weeks as I develop a detailed trail map in my area utilizing a GPS. This product is painful, and I have professionally worked with computers and scores of applications for over 20 years.

Cheap? Yeah. You may consider spending more and buying maps, etc from your GPS mfg.
