Comments about Michelin Country Rock Tire - 26 x 1.75:
I used this tire as a commuting tire back in 2002, 2003 time frame. I think it was called the Wildgripper Rock then. I really liked the tire on pavement and hard pack greenways. It was always solid on wet pavement. After three flats from road debris, in short order, I switched away from this tire to the Michelin Transworld City which is puncture-resistant and I'm now riding on the Continental Travel Contact with puncture-resistance. I've gone four years without a commuting flat now so I'm sold on pushing the extra weight around.
My only complaint with the Country Rock was the flats, otherwise I would not have looked elsewhere. If your situation doesn't require the extra protection (extra weight) then these are a great choice.

Comments about Michelin Country Rock Tire - 26 x 1.75:
I commute on pavement regularly in frequently wet and rainy conditions. The tire is great in the rain and rolls smoothly. I have experienced two problems with durability - cuts from glass which led to punctures, and dry rot on the side walls - I switch over to studs in the winter and stored my last pair of country rocks indoors for the winter. This spring revealed dry rot cracks in the sidewalls which produced a sidewall blowout/flat in a couple of weeks.

These are great tires, so great in fact that they were stolen off of my bike wheels and all just a week after I bought them.
These tires were the perfect commuting tires and I never had flats like the other reviewer. I ride 10 miles a day to work and these are very dependable tires.

Comments about Michelin Country Rock Tire - 26 x 1.75:
ive put about 200 miles on this tire so far and it seems to be doing well. im using it primarily as my commuting / road tires on my mtb. the first thing i noticed was good low rolling resistance. this past wknd i did a metric century on these tires and they held up very well, besides the two flats that i got (all on paved roads...). the tire carcass doesnt have much of flat protection. if they did, they'd probably be much heavier. other than that, these are pretty good tires.
