      This is my favorite watch. I bought mine 6 yrs ago from another merchant, have gone thru 3 batteries and now will have to find a source for replacement band as the leather fastening loop is rotting away. I swim and sweat (while in Germany I ran 10km / day) in it also, and the fabric although very comfortable absorbs the sweat and must occasionally be soaked. I'm currently in Iraq and its very hot here and this watch is still comfortable. I would buy a 2nd one just to have a spare.

        Still early days with this -- I'll come back with more in 3 years or so -- but I already like it big time. Recommended by a primatologist friend who works 3 months every year in Ugandan forest. I'm an anthropologist who works in remote Nepal -- need reliability, solid construction, legibility, plus it has to look decent in the office and handle thrash biking. This seems to be it. Easy to read, feels great on the wrist, gets nice comments, but isn't showy. Early tests in rainy weather biking look good. Thwacked it on brick by accident & no scratches.

          I where this watch every day and even sometimes sleep with it on and I hardly ever notice that I'm waring it until I need to know what time it is. Very accurate and easily readable in the semi-dark to very dark.

            Really like the simple, classic design of the Cavalry. The original version with cream face goes back to the 70s. I own the current version for about 2 years. Very solid, comfortable, nice color and material scheme. Movement accuracy (+1 sec/week).
