This is a fantastic watch. It's no frills, and has no extra gadgets, but it gets the job done and is extremely reliable. The large black numerals on a white background make it easy to read, the hands glow in the dark, and it shows the date. I've been wearing mine daily for the last 16 years for work, travel, backpacking, outdoors activities, etc. The crystal and case are durable and scratch resistant. The band is leather, so it eventually wears out and needs to be replaced every five years or so. Swiss Army sells replacement wristbands, so it's easy to get an exact match. Even though the watch itself is waterproof, I try not to get it wet because of the leather band, but mine's gotten soaked plenty of times and it's been fine. One word of warning -- it is not easy to replace the battery. You're supposed to take/send it to a Swiss Army authorized center so they can replace the O-rings and pressure test it to ensure that it stays waterproof after a battery change. In a pinch you can get it changed at a mall kiosk, but no guarantees on whether or not it's still waterproof unless you get it repaired at a Swiss Army shop. Overall, it's a great watch. If I lost mine tomorrow, I would buy a new one in a heartbeat.

    I purchased my first Swiss Army watch in 1997 and although it's still running it's a bit scratched up from a fall I took on pavement...I just purchased my second Swiss Army watch and love the classic style, size and sporty look of the watch. Most of all I love the dependability of Swiss Army watches. I highly recommend Swiss Army time pieces and REI is one of the few authorized dealers. I'll wear my older Swiss Army watch when I go hiking, biking and the new one for every day.
