Comments about Snow Peak Starter Kit:
This is a nice set. It includes the following:
Giga Stove GS-100 (w/ plastic case)
Trek 700 SCS-005T (aka the titanium pot w/ lid)
Titanium Spork SCT-004
Mesh pull string bag
The stove is great. It puts out a nice flame, and the flow control is great. For a minimalist type backpacking stove is it plenty stable for small to medium pots. Snow Peak also sells an auto igniter which can be purchased separately and added to this stove at any time. Snow Peak also sells a titanium version of this stove.
The titanium pot is the perfect size. It is small enough to not take up much space in your pack, but big enough to fit a fuel canister and the stove (without the plastic case) and still fit the lid on. The lid is designed so that you can put another fuel canister on top of it which is held down on one side by a bit of a hook which sticks up from the lid and held down on the other side by the spork whose handle fits through a small slit in the lid. The mesh bag then fits over the whole thing.
The spork is nice. Especially since it is designed to help hold down the second fuel canister on top of the lid when packed. However, it would be nice if the handle could fold in half, so that the spork would fit inside of the pot with stove and one fuel canister when you plan on bringing only one canister of fuel for your trip (I ended up buying the REI Ti Ware Folding Spork for this).
Overall, this is a great starter kit, though I wish they would package the titanium version of the stove with the rest of the set. I guess if you are looking for something specific, then you can also opt to buy the pieces separately.

Comments about Snow Peak Starter Kit:
This stove is about as lightweight as you can buy. For someone like me who cuts my toothbrush in half, this is a great buy. I cannot believe how powerful the flame can get. I filled the pot with cold water and had it boiling in under 4 minutes!

Comments about Snow Peak Starter Kit:
I got this stove after getting the entire Jetboil series and a lot of the GSI pots.
The system is light and durable.
It doesn't contain any aluminum so no worries of possibly scratching off and ingesting aluminum.
Be sure to get the integrated snow peak wind breaker.
This is my favorite cooking gear.
It has replaced everything except my GSI frying pan.

Comments about Snow Peak Starter Kit:
Simply put: I love this product.
If you are a minimalist camper / hiker that needs a compact cookset to boil water for freezedried meals and beverages then look no further. I used this stove for 4 days (3 times a day at sea level) and still had gas left in my first fuel container.
I would recommend buying the optional windscreen to speed up the boil times if you anticipate using it in windy conditions. The pot handle has a tendency to get very hot as well.
