Built with same design features found on the adult-size Momentum harness, the Black Diamond® Wiz Kid is sized to fit your 5 to 10 year old child.

  • Airy mesh material around lightly padded waist and leg loops help kids stay cool when they're climbing hot
  • Includes plenty of modern trimmings: two molded gear loops, a full-strength belay loop and droppable leg loops
  • New, pre-threaded Speed Buckle is convenient and easy for kids to tighten and release
  • Recommended for kids from 5 to 10 years old, weighing 35 to 110 pounds
  • Meant for top-roping use only

        Excellent construction, will work well for average+ build kids. Our son is scrawny in the legs but very tall. The leg straps do not permit complete closure, but for most kids this will not be an issue. For smaller or super skinny kids you might want to go to a full-body harness like Petzl.

        My daughter really likes it. She's very small and thin though so the leg straps are really very loose around her thighs. But it works fine overall. I'm not sure there's an alternative to this at [...] for really small climbers that are learning to belay.
