Comments about Mammut Focus Harness:
This is my second harness, I purchased it looking for something more comfortable for longer climbs. I've used two different variants of this model, one with a heavier buckle and different style of hook to keep the leg loops in place.
This is a good, light weight, comfortable harness at a very reasonable price. It is easy to adjust while being worn. The belay and gear loops are well sized. It is my preferred harness for both multi-pitch trad and sport climbing.
I have two complaints:
The lack of a vertical, stitched rear loop. The small rear loop is inadequate for load, and being horizontal isn't convenient for a chalk bag.
The dropable portion of the leg loops has come undone on its own several times; the small metal hook has to be re-threaded into a very small elastic loop - difficult to do while wearing the harness. This has happened to climbing partners with the same harness and is true of both the original curved and newer angular versions of the hook.

I really like this Harness! it was my first buy and it is cheap and very durable, and it looks cool lol
its very comfortable, but at first it hurts the legs, but when it breaks in is very nice.

Comments about Mammut Focus Harness:
This is a really comfortable harness. The only improvements I would make are; Buckled, dropable leg loops (the litle clip in back is a pain , and a little "Mickey Mouse") Also, buckles in the leg loops themselves. All in all a great harness for the money. I would probably recomend the upgrade to the Focus Speed.

Comments about Mammut Focus Harness:
My first harness, and I'm glad I went with it. It's extremely comfortable, and I basically don't notice I'm wearing it even on a long day.
The only negatives are that the velcro waist attachment (which only serves to keep the harness in place while adjusting the strap) tends to sound like it's coming undone during abseils. The strap for keeping the leg loops up tends to get in the way more than it helps.
I haven't had it long enough to speak to long term durability, but in the short term I've been very happy with it.

Comments about Mammut Focus Harness:
This is my first harness and I like it. It's pretty simple to put on and very comfortable. One thing that freaked me out the first time was the velcro came undone as I was lowered, but nothing happen, the strap held, so don't worry about that.

Comments about Mammut Focus Harness:
This harness is nothing super special. It has all the features of most other harnesses. The gear loops are nice, and the harness is comfortable enough, but it is not going to win any awards for outstanding quality. The biggest virtue of this harness is its price. Although it may not be the greatest harness on the market for the price it does the job just fine though.

Comments about Mammut Focus Harness:
A very good harness overall.
the large waistbelt makes for good comfort while hanging, the plastic cover under the belay loop keeps everything tidy and tight, the metal buckets of the leg loops sometimes get tangled with the gear loops, but only if the gear loops are empty.
Very good for belaying too if you tighten up the leg loops a bit making the lower part of the harness more firm.
the velcro strap is very useful, as the elastic band to keep in place the excess belt

As a short woman, this harness fit me better than the other women harnesses.
Great, except that I don't like the velcro on the harness. When you go to rappel back down it makes an awful noise.

Comments about Mammut Focus Harness:
Great Harness. I am at the climbing gym at least twice a week and always on weekend outdoor climbing trips. Used this harness for top rope, big wall climbing, lead climbing, and even an adventure race. This harness is very comforatable for all day climbs, and keeps quickdraws/slings/P.A.S's within easy reach. Only real con is that the harness can be difficult to put on (it tends to get tangled in storage).
