Comments about Sigma Sport BC1106 DTS Wireless Bike Computer:
I love the size of the unit and the easy-to-read data. But this unit will not work if you ride with headlights on (who doesn't in Seattle?). Any headlight that is not SIGMA brand will cause enough interference to render the computer useless. I contacted SIGMA tech support and they were aware of this issue, yet didn't feel it necessary to state this warning on the packaging or in the user's guide. They recommended wrapping my bike lights in aluminum foil to act as a radiation shield (look out, Buck Rogers), or to scrap my Nite Rider light in favor of a SIGMA brand light. Lastly, the tech told me that their team-sponsored riders would never use this product- favoring the hard-wired versions instead.

Comments about Sigma Sport BC1106 DTS Wireless Bike Computer:
Others report problems pairing . . . mine paired in about ten spins of the front wheel right after installation, and came back to life thereafter in far less than that - more like one or two. I like that the unit also came with the tie-wrap sensor mount - the "O" ring mount (also included) in the on-line doc had me worried. This mount is very stable, and I have about a 1/4 inch magnet to sensor spacing, which appears to work very well.
Still need to verify accuracy, but considering the way it sets up, I can't fathom not being able to set it up to whatever level of accuracy I desire.
Despite the very poor "cartoon" manual, this unit is very simple to operate, and most functions are obvious after playing with it for a few minutes.

Comments about Sigma Sport BC1106 DTS Wireless Bike Computer:
I've been very happy with a couple of Sigma wired computers, but the wireless pickup on this thing didn't work at all. When I returned it, the bike shop staff said they get lots of them returned.
Service and delivery comments:
No problem returning, and the shop staff recommended something else that worked great. Moral--ask their advice, it's free.

Comments about Sigma Sport BC1106 DTS Wireless Bike Computer:
Well,
so much for this unit...
After a nightmare of configuration, trying to make the thing SYNC the sensor and the computer, I finally managed to do it.
But, to tell you the truth, it was better for them if I didn't...
The main problem with this is that I had to pedal too much for it to start showing my speed... It takes a huge amount of time to start showing the speed…
To give you a precise figure: I bike around 4miles from here to home. When I got there yesterday night it was showing 2 for trip distance...
I really do not like this!
So I'm returning this today...
Hope this can help others fellow bikers out there...
Regards
Sergio

Comments about Sigma Sport BC1106 DTS Wireless Bike Computer:
The only problem I have had with this computer came very early on while trying to install it! The instruction manual is bad, with odd pictures and very little actual direction. After that hurdle I have no complaints about the device. I use it 4-5 times a week while on my comfort bike and am planning on purchasing the Bike 2 Sensor to be able to use it on my new road bike. Battery life seems to be good but I only have 567 miles on it so far.

Comments about Sigma Sport BC1106 DTS Wireless Bike Computer:
Worst computer ever, takes forever to pair up and get a reading, and then you lose the signal in the middle of a ride, and it will not pick up again. Replaced the batteries thinking that was it, same problem. Spoke to Sigma direct and they suggested that I was not using the proper rubber band for mounting? Give me a break! Then they had the nerve to say they could not warranty an improperly installed computer I had a Vetta C500 wireless for 14 years, Never had a problem. I just ordered the Cateye Strada Wireless which I wanted in the 1st place. The Sigma should come with a warning: "Not intended for Off-Road use"

Comments about Sigma Sport BC1106 DTS Wireless Bike Computer:
This computer is unreliable. I like how large the numbers are, and when it's working, I have enjoyed using it. But TWICE the computer has completely shut off and then restarted with everything lost, including my odometer mileage. I changed the battery hoping to fix it, and it happened in less than a month again. This is going back to REI.

This is nice solid computer I use for commuting. It is waterproof which is great for the nasty weather days. The batteries last a while too, about 1 year so far.

Comments about Sigma Sport BC1106 DTS Wireless Bike Computer:
I commute about 100 miles a week and I want to track my speed and mileage; that should be simple. The Sigma was not reliable. Occasionally I could not get it to work and could not find a way to fix it. Once, the display just faded and stopped working without warning. Turned out it was a low battery in the receiver. No warning. Several times, the communication between the transmitter and receiver has halted, despite an apparent good battery for both. Then it starts working again after a few minutes of cursing.
Also, the buttons get physically stuck under the edge of the case, so you can't reset it or program it. I managed to get it to work pretty consistently over the last month, so I guess I will keep it for now. My Cateye Micro wireless works better on my CX bike. My wife's cateye Strada has worked better for her.
Most annoyingly, it does not have an auto-wake. Where the Cateyes will auto-start, if you stop for a few minutes with the Sigma, it sleeps. If you forget to push the start button, then you will lose track of your mileage. Incredibly annoying.

Comments about Sigma Sport BC1106 DTS Wireless Bike Computer:
I have had this computer for a year now and it has been a reliable performer. It always starts reading before I am out of the garage. I commute 16 miles a day and it has about 1500 miles and is still going strong. I have had no trouble using my lights with it. My only complaints are having to turn it on but it is an easy habit to get into usually if you run into the grocery store it will stay on till you get back. It is very accurate my trips are always the same with in .00 miles if they are not accurate it is easy to adjust for the tire size etc.
