      Of course when I first bought my bike the seat that came with it was very painful. A day of numbness could be expected after a morning of cycling. Women, don't expect to be comforatble on a man's saddle, it's just not realistic for hour + trips. That being said, there's a variety of women's saddles designed for different performance levels. I take my road bike out for fun on the weekends for 2-3 hours. I not involved in any serious racing, thus, the investment I put into my bike is for recreation and enjoyment only. This saddle was less expensive (by half in many cases) than other brands, so I went with it. I would say my pain decreased 90%. So this saddle may not be as comfortable as a saddle on a cruising bike, but for the money, it's definitely a huge improvement.

      This is a good entry level saddle. If you don't have bike shorts, you could go for a ride and not be uncomfortable. If you are concerned about bicycle weight, this is not a great choice. The only problem I had was inner thigh chaffing on rides over 35-40 miles, and ultimately bought a new saddle. I enjoyed this brand for years!

        For the record, there is NO perfect saddle for every single butt. Like everything else, a saddle has to fit your anatomy. This saddle fits my butt and having just finished a 1,000 mile bike tour, I still love this saddle. I admit I had a problem at first but realized that this particular saddle has to be level or slightly pointed down, not up. This will eliminate many of the issues mentioned in other posts. But, beware, if this saddle does not fit your own personal "sit bones", it will not work. For me, this is the saddle I will put on all my bikes.

          I'm not a serious cyclist by any means, but I like to take 1-2 hour trips on weekends on a paved path near my house. I needed a seat that wouldn't give me "bicycle butt," and I didn't want to invest in a couple of pairs of bike shorts. Unfortunately, this seat turned out to be more uncomfortable than the one that came with my bike. It is too narrow for me, and I will be exchanging it for something wider and squishier.

          I bought this saddle hoping that my search for a comfortable seat would be over. After reading the other reviews I thought the seat would be perfect. Unfortunately this saddle is going back.I ride for 10 miles 3 times a week and this saddle just doesn't give me a comfortable ride. The seat feels stiff and hard. It's definitely not the worst seat I've ever had which is why I gave it 3 stars.One good thing about the seat is that it comes with a 90 day return policy, so you can try it and return it if you don't like it.Anyway my search continues...

            It's a great comfy saddle. I love it and can't see myself going to anything else. This saddle has made it possible to go on long rides on the weekends. The only problem with it is the plastic piece in the front. As long as you don't hit yourself with it, it's the best saddle ever.
