Comments about Grivel Air Tech Light New Classic Crampons with Antibott Device:
I've used these crampons for about 3 seasons. I first bought them when living in OR for the Cascade volcanoes like the Sisters and Hood, later used them on Elbrus, in the Alps, and later on Rainier. While these crampons did get me up and down these mountains, they're not the most burly. This past weekend while doing a winter trip in the White's in NH, the metal broke on them rendering them useless and unfixable. Not what you want on an icy ridge in the mountains. All in all, these are best suited to glaciers and ski mountaineering trips like South Sister, rather than some place where there is need for a more aggressive crampon (Rainier etc.) or nasty cold conditions (the White's for example). I will not buy them again, instead I am going for a beefier version. These crampons can work, but are best suited for light mountaineering.

Comments about Grivel Air Tech Light New Classic Crampons with Antibott Device:
I used these on a recent trip to Mt Charleston, and they could not have done a better job. They made the ascent easy and safe over the re-melt and straight ice. They also performed very well in a hurried pace downhill "jog"... They are very quick to step into and out of, so I actually did so when I should have. I would recommend grabbing a bag for them (black diamond makes some) and keeping that external to you pack so that you will have handy access to them whenever you need them.

Comments about Grivel Air Tech Light New Classic Crampons with Antibott Device:
I am a Back Country skier transplant from Colorado, 16 years of BC experience. I Have used the Air T set only here in CA, (it's a little icy out here). I really like them because they easily strap on my old sorrels and look like they would fit most any boot. Although I wear a size 10 snow boot that is super bulky and have the Air T crampons on the largest setting. So if you have big feet and wear a bulky boot these may not fit. They are super light, sharp and grip well. I have used them climbing some icy faces, about 40 - 45 degrees. Nothing too crazy, they are not made for ice climbing so I wouldn't try them on that. All in all they work out well for me and I am super happy with them. Not to mention I didn't have to spend money on new boots.
