Comments about Snapsights Snorkel Camera:

I bought this camera for a trip that included snorkeling at Dry Tortugas NP and swimming with manatees in FL. It seemed like a good buy at the time. The housing felt solid and sealed well, but the camera itself is of poor quality. The film load/advance mechanism jammed and I had to expose an already shot roll of film to try to fix it:( It seemed okay after it was reloaded with new film, but all subsequent photos developed very poorly and weren't salvageable.

I discarded this camera after that trip and wouldn't purchase it again or recommend it to anyone taking photos that they would be sad to lose. I'll take my chances with disposable waterproof cameras until I can invest in a permanent high quality waterproof model.

If the same housing was presented with a higher quality camera installed it would be worth it, but not as is.

Comments about Snapsights Snorkel Camera:

I used this when i went snorkeling in alaska. I had a real hard time pushing down the button to actually take pictures and it was hard to tell when the camera had actually taken a picture. The pictures ended up coming out fine, but I didn't feel very confident about when I was actually taking them. I think next time i'd spend a little more money to get a better waterproof camera.
