Best "Spin" Bike You Could Buy

I have the power version of this indoor trainer. I really appreciate not having to connect and disconnect my road bike from a rear-wheel trainer. This thing is heavy! Very stable. I like having the wheel behind me and out of the way of my sweat. I'm able to pivot the unit around my basement thanks to the inline-style rear wheels. The entire bike is very solidly built. I've logged a lot of miles on the Schwinn spin bikes. The Cycleops simply has a better fit and finish. Between the Cycleops and traditional spin bikes the Cycleops has a much better "Q-Factor". This is the width of your stance on the pedals. Many pro cyclists go for the narrowest (supposedly most natural) Q-Factor available. I've always thought the typical spin bike had me standing with my feet shoulder-width apart (real wide). The Cycleops feels more like my road bike with a narrower stance. Biggest complaint, the computer interface is right out of the 80's (would you like to play a game?) It seriously reminds me of Atari. I am able to get some stats from it but "inelegant" is a compliment. They should have contracted this part out to the pros... or perhaps their cycle-computer department just down the hall!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
