    I used this bivy at lunch counter (9000 feet) on Mount Adams in late November. I couldn’t have asked for more. The “porthole” (as they are calling it) is a mesh panel at eye level which vents efficiently and doubles as a very useful window. Obviously the eVent material is second to none and I’m starting to find out why. As for roominess, I have found that in bad weather to much room can be as uncomfortable as too little… The Bugaboo is a great balance and is very comfortable (I’m 6’2”, 210 pounds). I’ll also note that the first night I spent in this bivy I thought I heard an avalanche and I was very surprised at how quickly I got the center zipper down so I could get out and investigate. Next to my ice axe, this is the best piece of gear that I’ve purchased and I highly recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a light weight, breathable, 4 season bivy.
