Comments about Keen Venice Sandals - Women's:
My son had invited his 55 year old mom on a trip to the Yucatan last summer and I was not going to "wus" out with shoes that could not take me everywhere. I was determined to pack light with only one pair of shoes. I read all of the reviews and with only 2 days of breaking them in I went with my Keen Venice H2 sandals, and hiked, swam, climbed ruins, and now use them for everything. I teach in elementary school and don't care that they see me in skirts or a dress and these sandals, I am comfortable. Now in the winter (no snow really) I still only wear these sandals with socks and will be ordering a pair in black so they are even more versatile than the blue and black I have been wearing. I had problems with plantar fascitis, too, and just put my inserts in. But even without them my feet still feel great. What a deal!!

I bought these shoes two days before going on a 30-mile backpacking trip to Havasupai. I usually prefer to take some time to break in my shoes, but I was in a hurry for something that would work well wading through water. I actually wore these on the entire trip (with a 20+ pound pack) - which I wouldn't recommend (lack of ankle support for backpacking, but my hiking boots were giving me blisters), but they held up great! They work wonderful on slippery rock and wading through rivers. The toe protection is great. I couldn't be happier with them!

I wore these on a 3 week trip to Central America. Very comfortable (and I have flat feet) and I could wear them with socks if the temperatures dropped.
On the trip, I wore them to Semuc Champe in Guatemala. I tried walking over some rocks in the water and almost slipped. My friend who had the same shoes in the guys' version had the same problem. The traction on these aren't that great if the surface is slippery so if you're looking for shoes that work on land and in wet environments, these may not be the best. Also, these don't dry that quickly... I've left them to air-dry over night and it definitely takes a while.
Despite the traction problems in water, I'd definitely wear these again for trips that doesn't involve exploring areas with wet rocks.

Comments about Keen Venice Sandals - Women's:
When I bought these shoes, I was having trouble with plantar fasciitis (heel pain) due to my flip-flops, and was looking for something with arch support. Since it was summer, I wanted something that would let my feet breathe as well, so I wouldn't have to wear sneakers all year round.
In short, these shoes surprised me. I knew that they would be good quality - the brand name and price tag told me that much - but I was very surprised by how comfortable they are. They're durable like sneakers, but when I'm wearing them, I hardly feel like I've got shoes on. After five months of wearing them, there's still no rubbing, and my feet never feel cramped.
I don't do a lot of hiking or anything, but these shoes certainly get me around the city perfectly, and when I have gone "off-road," they've still been incredibly comfortable and stable. The only problem I've had with them is that when walking on the street, small pebbles can get between my feet and the shoes and get stuck by the toe - but this is a very small problem, considering how amazing they've been for my feet (no more plantar fasciitis!).
I highly recommend these shoes to anyone who's looking for something reliable, comfortable for spring through fall, and extremely versatile.

After eying these shoes for over a year, I finally decided to buy a pair and couldn't be happier. I am an active college student and these sandals work exceptionally with my lifestyle. The rugged yet lightweight soles are great for hiking, camping, sports, running, and travel. Because of the unique closed toe and waterproof feature I am able to wear these shoes boating, at work in a laboratory, and at my second job in a restaurant. The inner fabric conforms comfortably and is great for both wide or narrow feet. The anti-odor and anatomic foot bed make them ideal for everyday use, and work with virtually all types of styles. Often complimented, great color options, and highly, highly recommended.

I bought these last summer and have not been disappointed. I have put on tons of miles hiking in the desert or tropical rain forrests, as well as just walking around town. They have served me well. Just as a side note - these shoes are cut for normal to wide sized feet, if you have a narrow foot you wont get great support. My only complaint is the time it takes to dry. If you get your feet wet and then continue hiking it takes a while to dry out.
Great shoes! Impressed with the quality and duribility.

I bought these shoes specifically for Burning Man. I wanted a shoe that was comfortable for long walks, breathable and I could wear while riding a bike. I also wanted something for hikes in the summer and spring, and to use as a water shoe. This shoe is great for all of them! Not to mention I didn't have to even break them in and they are great as a casual shoe. I also like that they are snug on your foot without being too tight. Most sandals always seem like they are sliding off my foot. They are the most versatile pair of shoes I have ever bought.

While hiking Italy/Spain last summer, I saw everyone wearing Keen brand sandals/shoes. So, when I was planning my trip to El Salvador this last March, I decided to investigate them. All of the reviews I read and people I spoke to said superior things about these shoes, so I decided to try them myself. I hiked all over El Salvador, through mountains and rivers and beach areas. They were great! So durable and they dry fast too. The only thing I didn't like about the shoes was that they didn't breathe that well. At times I had to take them off to let my feet get some air. Other than that, they are the perfect multi-purpose shoe and are sturdy and very durable. I would definitely recommend them to any avid outdoors person. Or just anyone.

I was hesitant to purchase these sandals, as I thought they would make my feet look larger than they are! I absolutely love them. I am going on a long trip where hiking and walking will be involved. I think they are going to be perfect, and cute also!
