Comments about The North Face Trailhead 8 Tent:
The is a great tent for family camping. The rain fly works great and the vestibule is awesome for keeping shoes dry and for changing out of wet clothes after swimming without bringing the water inside the tent. The tent gets great ventilation even with the rain fly on. 7 of us were able to comfortably fit inside the tent and still have room for our gear. We have camped with it in tougher conditions and it was able to withstand the rain and wind with no leaks. It is also great that we were able to take the tent down and fit it inside the duffle bag with no problem. I would definitely recommend this tent.

Comments about The North Face Trailhead 8 Tent:
This tent easily fits 2 adults and 3 kids, gear, and 70 lb dog. Best for car, cart-in, or (short) walk-in campsites as it is a bit heavy. That said, its very easy to set up and break down and the poles are color coded and are nearly indestructable. With the fly on, there is a nice covered entrance area where you can store extra gear you don't want in the tent (muddy shoes, etc).

Comments about The North Face Trailhead 8 Tent:
I am a professional photographer/videographer and often will camp out multiple days. This tent is like having a small cabin with you. I set up a double inflatable bed in one wing of the tent, put carpet down in the center with a folding table and chairs and put all my gear in the other wing. Super comfortable. I have been in snow in Yellowstone, driving rain at the coast and this tent has never failed.

Comments about The North Face Trailhead 8 Tent:
Roomy tent that works well with the family. Can customize interior for one, two, or three rooms. This allows some privacy when changing when camping with kids. Able to set up and take down with the "help" of my kids. It packs very easily in to the duffle and I expected it to be much heavier. Weather tight.

Comments about The North Face Trailhead 8 Tent:
Our entire family love this tent. We had this tent for two summers now. It held up to lots of horsing and jumping around in by my kids and their friends. It is extremely roomy, well designed and easy the set up. The rain fly works very well, as we slept through some nights with very hard rain. Too bad it is not sound proof for the one night we had a noisy group at the campsite next to ours :) My friend rushed to buy the same tent after seeing ours.

Comments about The North Face Trailhead 8 Tent:
We bought this tent before our big Utah National Parks circuit (plus Mesa Verde and Grand Canyon). It is great for our family of 5 - easy to set up and take down (and put away in the duffels). We had to use the fly during a thunderstorm shower in Mesa Verde and the tent stayed dry. We put the kids on one side and my husband and I had the other side, with plenty of room for all of our gear.

Comments about The North Face Trailhead 8 Tent:
I live in Colorado Springs(6500ft+) and go camping with family 4 total and set up a card table in the middle of the tent and still have so much room. This is by far the best tent I've had in all my 30+ yrs of camping. My last trip we had 50+mph winds and rain we stayed dry and the tent survived.

Comments about The North Face Trailhead 8 Tent:
My church uses seven(7) of these on our annual mission trip down to Mexico. They are set up by kids who have never set up tents before (no one bothered to attach the Velcro loops from the fly to the poles, or to guy out the fly), but they still stood up to 60mph+ winds for a week! we now use them for beach camping in the winter, and occasional summer camping trips as a church group as well.
Setup is as simple as could be expected with a tent this large, but the color coding really helps! It would be nice of the grommets were color coded too, though. Read the instructions on which pole to put where before setting this beast up!
