Comments about NiteRider TL-5.0 Rear Bike Light:
I use this daily on my early morning commute. I like the multiple light modes and it is highly visable to cars. It is also easily removed and tucks away easy for daylight rides. There are "better" lights out there, but this one I think is hard to beat for the price.

Comments about NiteRider TL-5.0 Rear Bike Light:
This is a great taillight. I have had this for 7+ years and it just keeps going. It has a great seal to keep out moisture and the multiple flash patterns give you many options to chosse from.

Comments about NiteRider TL-5.0 Rear Bike Light:
I was in REI last weekend and almost bought this little tail light as an extra to keep with me,
for friends who forget their own. The packaging, on one side states that it has 5 LED's, as does this advertisement. However, on the other side it says that it has 3 LED's, and from a close up inspection it only appears to have just 3 LED's. Side coverage on a tail-light is very important, and many car-bike accidents involve getting hit from a side angle. Only buy this light as a 2nd, back-up light; after all, isn't your safety worth a few bucks more?

Comments about NiteRider TL-5.0 Rear Bike Light:
I have three of these ligths now and they work fine. I use two on my commuter bike for the extra visibility. I am sure one can find something brighter outhere, but these are a good deal and work fine.

Comments about NiteRider TL-5.0 Rear Bike Light:
I have numerous bikes and several different types of rear lights. This is one of the best rear lights - not because it is the brightest, but it has one LED on each side so people can see you from the sides (great for intersections). None of my other rear lights sport this feature, and I think it is very useful. One reviewer commented that it is advertised has having five LEDs, but there were only three. I thought the same thing until I realized is has two lights on the sides.

Comments about NiteRider TL-5.0 Rear Bike Light:
NightRider makes some of the best cycling lights in existence -- but this is not one of them. After installing the light per instructions, it rattled out of its mounting bracket on my first outing with it. I heard the light fall to the pavement and break into pieces; luckily, I ride with three rear lights -- the other two of a different brand -- so I did not forfeit my safety on the commute home. The higher-end Cat Eye and Blackburn rear lights are far superior.

Comments about NiteRider TL-5.0 Rear Bike Light:
This is a great light for the money, it does have 5 LEDs- 3 face the rear, + one on each side.
Four modes, constant flashing attracts attention, easy to turn on / off. Can't beat the Super Flash or Cherry Bomb for max visibility on the road though.

Comments about NiteRider TL-5.0 Rear Bike Light:
Flimsy best describes this item. The clip is good only for the mounting bracket provided. It will fall off everything else. Hit the ground once & broke in two. Never could get the cover back on. Spend more bread.

Comments about NiteRider TL-5.0 Rear Bike Light:
I had one of these lights for about 2 weeks before someone swiped it. I bought another light, and would unclip it and take it into work with me every day.
After about 4 months of this, the clip broke off, and I can no longer attach it to my bike. It broke in such a way, that I can't attach it to anything anymore. So it's a bit flimsy, but that is to be expected at this price point.
For commuters, you probably need something more heavy-duty.
