I bought this compression sack for my down sleeping bag because I needed to keep it dry. This does the job better than anything else in it's class. Recently, I was setting up camp on top of a large waterfall. I accidentally kicked this sack, packed with my brand new sleeping bag into the river and watched horrified as it went tumbling off the waterfall. It took at least 15 minutes to get to the bottom to retrieve it, and it was stuck directly under the fall the whole time! To my great surprise, (and relief) my sleeping bag emerged from the sack BONE DRY. This product is well worth your money!

Everything about this bag is perfect. Spend the extra duckets and get this bag over all others, after ripping 3 REI sacks with minimal tugging on the straps i was skeptical. Then after i got my bag in, rolled down the top, i started yanking on the straps. Not, a single sign of stress. So, i decided to see if i could break it, after repeated kicks and slammings on the ground i got nothing. I broke before this bag.

I can't say enough about this product. I bought one just to check it out one rafting season. Now it is one of the most important pieces of gear I own. Super light, compressable, watertight, etc., etc. I am replacing all my dry bags with these. If you have something that needs to be small and dry - use these bags! Two cool uses I have found for this bag - use as a camp shower and dry bear bag for food (hung in tree of course, its not kevlar - lol). Oh yeah, I take one in my suitcase when traveling. Put all the compressable stuff in socks, underwear, towels, fleece, etc. then just sit on it and pull the straps tight. It saves a ton of space. And when you are going home do the same thing with all your dirty clothes and presto - you have enough room for all the new stuff you just bought! Its a vacuum Space Bag without the vacuum!!!

I picked up this bag so I could keep my gear dry and fit it more efficiently into my pack. It did just that and more!
The bag feels well put together and was easy to compress. Compared to regular dry bags it has much thinner material making it lighter. It's great for soft goods like clothes and sleeping bags. I would think twice about stuffing solid items in the bag, unlike the regular dry bags that are near bomb proof. But the main benefit of this bag is its ability to compress and let air circulate. I've put wet clothes in the bottom of this bag fully compressed and pulled them out dry by the end of the hike. They would have stayed wet for days in a regular dry bag.
In my 30L sack I was able to fit a few sets of clothes, 20 degree sleeping bag, and a hammock. This filled the bag pretty well with a little room to spare. Then I sat on the bag and compressed it to under half its original size!
The space saving compression and the waterproof yet breathable abilities of this bag make it a must have for backpacking, or really any travel. I will definitely be getting a smaller sack for my day pack so when my water bladder leaks while glassading a few thousand feet and getting soaked I will have a dry set of clothes to continue hiking in!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This was the greatest waterproof compact bag ever. After a week in the backcountry with rain & everything else in my pack stinking, this bag was dry & all of it's contents smelled like they just came out the laundry.

It truly doesn't get any better than this. I use mine for my Marmot Lime-lite 3 tent, keeps it dry and secure. It also saves a ton a pack space and helps keep my pack organized. I plan on buying several more to store my clothes and sleeping bag in. This has been one of the few pieces of gear that I have had zero problems with.

I've had this bag for over a year now and take it on all my trips. It's kept things dry through multiple dunkings, fabric survived being repeatedly tossed into and out of canoes for portages. It's gotten a bit dirty, but that's hardly a problem.
Compresses things well, I've used it for both clothing and my winter sleeping bag and liner. Keeps stuff dry and compact, and I like the shape: other dry bags I've used were taller or fatter, didn't fit as well in my pack.
Great bag overall, if I need more dry bags, I'll be looking for Sea to Summit.

Like many of you out there, I am constantly looking for ways to make more room in my pack. This product is amazing. I have one for my tent, and one that I keep my clothes in. It's waterproof... nuff said on that. The compression is SO awesome. I have a two man tent that used to be a little bulky. I can now get it down to the size of a football. I like to kneel on the sack and pull the straps up. These would be really great for general travel too... They are pricey, but worth it!

For me, what sets this compression sack apart is the eVent (better than Gore-Tex in my opinion). Wen you compress your sack, it allows air to escape through the material for compact storage, while keeping moisture out.
I used this on a 40+ day bicycle tour, and it kept my essentials dry, and compact throughout.
