Comments about Gerber EVO Junior Fine-Edge Locking Knife:
This knife lives up to the Gerber name! I got it cheaper somewhere else and I had my doubts about it, then as I used it, it proved itself to be a very good knife. I brought to Okinawa on a Scout trip and it performed splendidly. My coating did not come off and it stayed sharp even though I use it to shave wood everyday.
The only thing that is a cause for concern is the grip. The finger guard does its job, but it isn't that comfortable after use for long periods at a time. This is also a horrible knife for survival or hunting since it is so small. I would recomend this knife to any scout that is starting to use knives.

Comments about Gerber EVO Junior Fine-Edge Locking Knife:
I'm on my second Evo Jr. (lost the first one), and I'd buy another in a heartbeat. Always handy, useful, and easy to use. Works and cuts just as well now as it did several months ago when I bought it.

Comments about Gerber EVO Junior Fine-Edge Locking Knife:
The thumb studs break or unscrew themselves. This negates the blade locking as those studs help to lock the blade as well as help in opening. This happened to me twice with this model.
I was delighted with the feel, size, convenience and razor sharp blade. Under hard use like stripping electric wire sheath, shaving down tool handles, etc. it just did not hold up.
REI was very good about replacing the first one and issuing a store credit for the second one. If I could have figured a way to use the knife without the thumb studs I would have kept it.
It is a very good product for the price. I need a more rugged product.

Comments about Gerber EVO Junior Fine-Edge Locking Knife:
This is the best knife I ever had (I have not had that many though). I have small hands but it fits me perfectly as if it was custom made. It feels like a more expensive knife but it is so inexpensive. Now this isn't perfect...I have dropped it several times and it has lost a little bit of coating, but I like it a lot.

Comments about Gerber EVO Junior Fine-Edge Locking Knife:
Just the right size for my hands. Gerber is one of the best knives I own. This knife has two 1-handed way to open. The thumb and the forefinger. The width of the blade also allows me to stash it in my pocket and still allow me to dig for change, keys , and the like without being an obstruction.

Comments about Gerber EVO Junior Fine-Edge Locking Knife:
I have this knife and it's full sized brother. I keep this one in my field pack for work. It's great for all kinds of little cutting jobs. It's just a great little knife, hands down. You can't go wrong with this thing.

Comments about Gerber EVO Junior Fine-Edge Locking Knife:
This knife is definately one of my favorites. I use it every day for some of my toughest jobs. The easy to use finger flip enables you to open it with one hand easily, and the treaded linerlock feature allows easy closing, even if it does scratch your thumb a bit. The serrated blade is just as good. Buy it!

Got two of these guys for my nine-year old cub scouts. Straight-edge blade is perfect for whittling. Great first knife.
