Comments about REI Zigzag +15 Sleeping Bag - Juniors':
If you're short and thin, this bag can save weight on the trail. I'm a 5'2" female and I fit perfectly: just enough room to turn on my side or wiggle my toes (probably won't work if you're taller). It's lightweight, because I don't have to carry all the unneeded bag length. Otherwise, it's warm and reasonably priced--a great buy.

I bought this for my 3 year old son to use on our first backpacking trip. Based on the size, weight, and comfort rating this bag was the best of the bunch. It is synthetic which means I don't have to worry too much if something gets spilled on it, it gets wet, etc... It will still keep him warm and can be washed fairly easily. It also packs up small enough that I can easily store it in my pack next to my down bag.
We just used it this past weekend on our first backpacking trip at Raven Rock State Park in NC. He loved it. The bag kept him cozy and warm with night time temps in the mid to upper 40's.
Highly Recommended so far. After some more use I am hoping it is as durable as the rest of REI's products (which at first glance it seems to be). It will be put through the ultimate torture test only a 3 year old can accomplish though :)

Our son is almost 3, but has already been camping 7 or 8 times. He really needed his own bag, and this had all the features we were looking for. He did great sleeping in it- and he has lots of room to grow to get plenty of use out of it in the future. It zips up great and the hood is nice too.

Comments about REI Zigzag +15 Sleeping Bag - Juniors':
As a shorter woman (a touch over 5 ft), this bag is idea for backpacking! It rolls easily and is very compact, is very warm (been tested in freezing weather), and is so wonderfully soft, I feel like a kid again! Great pillow compartment to stuff random clothes into for make-shift head rest, zipper goes both ways to offer ventilation to the foot area. And on cold nights, I love adjusting the hood of the bag to cover my face. Also, it's amazingly waterproof - I spilled some water in my lap one evening, and just poured it right back in the bottle, wiped the surface dry!

I bought this for my 6-year old who tends to be a cold sleeper. We used it both for car camping and his first backpacking trip. Nice and warm. Packs very small and is lightweight which is helpful for backpacking since I'm carrying his stuff. He likes the colors and name too. All in all I would highly recommend this bag for kids.
