Comments about Novara Headwind Bike Pants - Men's:
never had to mess with this stuff in south FL, but up here in Raleigh, it's a must. The large fits me fine (6'0, 185 lbs). Nicely detailed. If you choose to wear thermals underneath, you'd probably be comfortable down past freezing temps. Works fine as is down in the low 40's. Great value. Four stars because the drawstring waist adjustment is a bit janky.

These pants have it all. Great everyday bike commuting, mountaibking, and roadbiking. Keeps yours legs warm and does not constrict at all. They are not like normal skin tight pants.I personaly like the draw string at the waist and the zippers at the ankels. I also like the material that i found out will make water bead up and roll off.
However, they DO NOT have any padding. I simply wear my biking shorts under neith and the problem is solved.

Comments about Novara Headwind Bike Pants - Men's:
[...], not all men are six feet tall! I am 5'8" with a 30" inseam. You are really missing out by not providing shorter inseams on most of your pants for men. I really believe that there are more diverse people shopping [...] these days. Specialty pants like cycling pants, ski pants, or any pants that zip or adjust at the ankles are difficult and costly to get altered. These tights are very decent in performance and quality. Has no padding, You need to wear the padded undies if you want that comfort. The waist adjustment is weak and barely functional. It has a slider type of system normally used to quickly adjust the hoods of ski jackets. It works itself loose, and is not a strong enough system to work well in keeping the waist band tight in highly active situations. I also feel that more refective material could be used, and sewn into the calf or ankle area.

I use these pants when commuting/riding below about 40 degress or so. I've been using them for a couple of months now and I am very pleased with them. I wear the REI middle weight thermals and these pants and have been very comfortable so far down to 32 degrees. I like the long length because then I'm left just with a very small gap between where the pants end and my shoes begin. Only thing I oticed so far is a little fuzziness where my legs rub against the seat as I pedal.

Comments about Novara Headwind Bike Pants - Men's:
I just bought these this fall (2007), and wear them when the temperature drops below about 45. They do an amazing job of blocking the wind, and yet I never seem to overheat in them. I use them both on the trail and on the road. My only complaint is that the drawstring on the waist is a little hoaky, but it works.

Comments about Novara Headwind Bike Pants - Men's:
Great riding pants for the cool (and even cold) weather. If I can't wear shorts, these are the next best thing because they are much more comfortable than any tights I have tried. They don't feel overly warm when the temps start to climb a bit either. I only wish they had easy access front pockets for a bandanna.

Comments about Novara Headwind Bike Pants - Men's:
I wanted a pair of cycling pants that would could be used in both cold and cool weather. With these pants you can add padded shorts, long underwear etc to match the temperature you will be riding. These can also be worn casually because they have no padding (you can get padded wind pants if you need them). I have recommended these to fellow cyclists and now they have a pair. Great price going with the sale.

Comments about Novara Headwind Bike Pants - Men's:
Excellent pants. Looked long and hard to find the right type of pants that meet my criteria. I wanted something that fit well, but not cycling tights. These have a slim fit, not too tight, not too loose. I commute to work when the temps are 30-35 degs in the mornings. The pants keep me plenty warm. They have a great design with the front half of the legs being a thicker flexible material then the rear half. Well worth the money! Not sure about their long term durability yet, but from inspecting the way they are constructed, I see no issues.

I bought these to use on my commute to work when the weather turns cold and I've used them a few times when the temperature was in the low 30's and they do a nice job of keeping my legs warm. They're very comfortable and well fitting. My only complaint is the drawstring waist, it comes loose when I'm bent over. I also wish they had a little more reflective material.
