Comments about Cage Rocket Storage Pod:
I've tried this pod with my Specialized cage as well as my 2 different branded carbon fiber cage and none of them will fit it well. The pod is just to big for my existing cages. Great design idea and nicely padded inside. The Lid does come unhinged if too muh force is used to open it.

Comments about Cage Rocket Storage Pod:
As with the other reviewers, the idea is great, the execution is, well, just "good." I've used mine for 2-3 years, and the lid hinge finally broke. Maybe that's all you should expect for a [$] product, but now the plastic goes into landfill, unfortunately... Early on, I noticed that the lid hinge was flimsy, and the lid actually popped off a few times while using it. Usually, it snaps right back on, but, I'm assuming the plastic got brittle (from uv rays/sun?), and the other day, when I tried to snap the lid back on, the hinge broke.

Comments about Cage Rocket Storage Pod:
I have the weather-proof version of this product, which is not listed online, but I purchased it at my local REI. I use it instead of an under-saddle bag to store my flat repair kit, inflator, and multi-tool. I also put my cell phone in the carrier when I expect wet weather. It's very sturdy, has a good amount of storage space, and keeps everything dry even in wet weather.

Comments about Cage Rocket Storage Pod:
The Cage Rocket is the biking accessory that I had been looking for!
I have several bicycles, a mountain, commuter and weekend sports performance bicycle. When I switch bicycles all I need to do now is swap out the Cage Rocket containing my trusty and well selected tool assortment and I am ready to go. In case of a flat or other unexpected maintenance procedure getting at my tools is easy and convenient. I no longer have to deal with the under the seat tool bag, hoping everything goes back exactly in the right order. The Cage Rocket's design is well thought out, the indentation in the back locks into the water bottle cage and keeps it well secured. When I leave the bike to have a snack break I take the Cage Rocket with me along with my other valuables like money, ID, keys and cell phone. As for hydration, on short rides one tall water bottle works well and on longer rides my Camelback is my system of choice.
I do recommend it to my friends and so far just showing it has prompted the question as to where it was purchased. My answer is REI of course.

Comments about Cage Rocket Storage Pod:
Best priced product I have ever purchased for a bike. Commute 7 miles to and from work 5 days a week and no longer need to haul a bag most days. Ride in the morning with a tyvek jacket and can get it in the rocket for the ride home. Took it backpacking to the Redwoods a couple of weeks ago and it fit in one of the backpack pockets like it was made for it. Wife used it and she complained it rattled in her cage. Adjusted the cage by pushing in on the outside portion (just as you would to adjust for water bottle) and that took care of the problem for her. Really, it was no big deal. Plan to give these as gifts to friends who ride. Will purchase the waterproof one in the future as want the clip. Great product, don't know how I managed without it. Holds a lot of needed items and no longer need to bring the bags. What really amazes me is the price, heck my bike gloves cost more than the rocket.

Comments about Cage Rocket Storage Pod:
If you ride - you need one. A riding bud of mine received a nasty gash in his back from keys he had in his jersey pocket during a relatively minor dump (no broken bones). I keep it quiet by stuffing 3 or 4 latex gloves around the contents. For flats/repairs the gloves keep you gunk/grease free. The waterproof version is home for my blackberry curve on the road - keeps it dry. Buy a larger water bottle and give up a cage for this product - you won't regret it...

Comments about Cage Rocket Storage Pod:
This is a nice storage alternative for keeping things within easy reach, or because you have no room like me because of a rack trunk that prohibits using a saddle bag. It's deep and can hold lots of essentials like a tube, co2 inflator and cylinders, tools, glasses, cell phone, keys, wallet, and munchies. I've read other reviews that say it isn't stable and rattles in a cage. I ordered a MTB cage to go with it and that holds it in place very well without rattling about or popping out on rough terrain. The only drawback I can think of is that you can't get to smaller or shorter items without stopping and removing it because your hand won't fit all the way down inside. Maybe a woman can, but I would think most guys can't. I've read that the newest version will have foam inside the lid as well to make it totally waterproof. I don't generally ride in the rain so that's not a problem for me, but it would have been nice to know before I ordered the one I have. However, the cage rocket information I read says that this particular version is water resistant because of the way the lid and joint seal are designed.

Comments about Cage Rocket Storage Pod:
I've used on 8 miles work commutes to hold cell-phone, spare tube, credit cards, multi-tool. This fits.
It bouces around and needs the exact sized bottle cage to work. I had a few different sizes and types of cages so was able to find one.
I wish it had compartments or sleeves inside. It's just an open space so the cell phone and keys bounce around. Annoying.
I probably won't use anymore. I got a seat bag instead.

Comments about Cage Rocket Storage Pod:
Make sure it fits the cage you have. Otherwise it'll be too loose and will bounce around. But it has a lot of space. I managed to fit two tubes, two CO2 canisters (with valve), two tire prybars, and a mini-tool.
