Comments about Coleman RoadTrip LXE Grill:
Great grill for BBQ, no matter it's a camping ground or backyard occasion, it works. Only need to find out the easy way to carry it, especially after 2-3 hours of using (think about the greasy and buildup....) Considering the Coleman bag.

Comments about Coleman RoadTrip LXE Grill:
Save on landfills by adding a 2.5ft propane hose to connect to a refillable tank and avoid the spendy, wasteful 1qt cannisters.

Comments about Coleman RoadTrip LXE Grill:
This grill is a good one! I grill steaks directly on the grates that are included and they always turn out great! The lid helps to regulate the cooking temperatures too. The griddle accessory plates, purchased separately, are great for making pancakes for your hungry crowd. Both the grates and the griddle plates are easy to clean with their special stick-resistant coating. By having its own stand, this grill separates the hot cooking from the hungry kids at the campground picnic table (or from the gas tank at a tailgate party) which is an important safety consideration. If you've got the room to pack it along, or if you're just looking for a great grill for home use (I use mine for both) this is a good one!

Comments about Coleman RoadTrip LXE Grill:
I love my Coleman grill. I have used it for camping and whitewater rafting trips multiple times, as well as for BBQ parties at home. It has the slick look that impresses all my friends who have seen it. It folds down just like a piece of luggage with 2 wheels, very mobile, and great for camping trips. It uses small propane canister, same size as the one used for camping lanterns, so you could buy a whole bunch for your trip and use them for both purposes. It has 2 burners so you could use one as a stove and one as a grill. It has great temperature control, the foods always turned out juicy and tender. Last but not least, the ease of cleaning. All you have to do is hose it down, some detergent, some scrubbing, hose it down some more, and it's as good as new. Let it air dry, and you can store it in your shed or garage. You should definitely go out and buy it today.

We used it as our campstove, with all the extra plates. Only one burner would start. And because of there being no side protectors, it took most of an hour to boil a kettle of water.

Comments about Coleman RoadTrip LXE Grill:
I've just used it this weekend. My wife and I went car camping and it was her first time, I wanted to make things as comfortable as possible. This was just like home. It did get a little expensive after we purchased the seperate $50.00 carrying case, the seperate stove top, and the seperate griddle, but in the end it was worth it. We enjoyed our homecooked meal and breakfast. The one thing you must make sure it is on level ground, half of our eggs ran down the drain when we poured them on the griddle.

Comments about Coleman RoadTrip LXE Grill:
I had seen this for the first time several years ago and thought it would be great for camping. I kept looking at them to see if I could find a deal on one and my family finally purchased it for me for Father's Day a couple of years ago along with a griddle plate, a stove plate and the carrying bag.
This thing works great at the campsite. Since the plates enable it to be used as a camp stove, a griddle and a grill it handles all of our meals with ease. I haven't had any problems with it in the wind and have made coffee in the morning and boiled water with the wind gusting around 35 mph.
At home, I have a large smoker with an offset fire box that is great for things like brisket, beer can chicken or cooking for large numbers of people. Since I cook with wood and the grill is large, I found it inconvenient to build a fire just to cook up some hamburgers or hotdogs. Occasionally we would buy one of those small bags of charcoal where you light the bag and all for smaller meals but those aren't very economical and it was still a hassle. With the Coleman, it is a snap to set it up on our patio and grill a few burgers or dogs and it's easy to clean as well.
The bag works well but you do have to take off the plastic handle on the legs in order to fit it in the bag. Fortunately the handle removes easily so it's only a minor hassle. Also, the storage compartments in the bag only hold two extra plates so I have to store the other plates in the grill itself. The plates are very easy to switch out since they literally just rest above the burners. However, even though the lid has a latch, whenever I'm taking the grill out of the bag or putting it back in the latch slides open and the movement of the grill causes the plates to slide over and the lid opens causing the plates to fall out. The bag does have heavy duty Velcro straps so once the grill is secured in the bag that's not a problem but a sturdier latch would be a nice touch. The bag also has room to store spare propane canisters as well.
Despite a few minor inconveniences, this is absolutely great for car camping and I have been thrilled with its versatility and ease of use and setup. Both of our son's are in scouts (one Boy Scout and one Cub Scout) and when we are out camping with the pack or the troop, this grill garners a lot of positive attention.

We have used this grill on our porch and for camping and it's GREAT for tailgate parties! The small, innexpensive propane tanks are simple to attach/remove and they last a long time. The wheels make it amazingly easy to transport! Not to mention... it's cute!
We highly recommend this grill!
