Comments about DMM Sentinel Locking Carabiner:
I use one of these as my main belay device 'biner with an ATC XP. It works great in this regard. The metal holds up better than Petzl 'biners. The shape is more effective than that of the Attache and the medium to smaller BD lockers. With the Attache and those BD biners I have trouble opening the gate while keeping the biner on my belay loop. With the Sentinel, I have no trouble at all. In addition, it is relatively lightweight. Only a keylock gate could improve this locker.

Comments about DMM Sentinel Locking Carabiner:
Not the lightest available but I liked the feel of this one better than others. The lock seems to work well still even with a little bit of grime in the mechanism.

Comments about DMM Sentinel Locking Carabiner:
i ordered mine online, so i was a bit surprised at how small it was compared to my other locking carabiners. but its pretty light, and the gate action is great (very easy to screw and unscrew the gate). i've permanently switched this to my main belay device because its so nice. and for 10 bucks!? i'm considering buying a few more as anchors.
