Comments about Black Diamond Rocklock Screwgate Carabiner:
This is great belay biner, it's big, has a large gate opening, round stock, keylock, and it's less expensive than some of the smaller HMS locking biners! It is my favorite belay locker.

Comments about Black Diamond Rocklock Screwgate Carabiner:
For the price this is a great biner. The screw gate is quick and easy to open, but stays locked well. It is prone to dirt in the threds so I try to lock mine down and often as possible which helps. If you're not going to be climbing a ton, or you're on a tight budget I highly reccomend this clip.

Comments about Black Diamond Rocklock Screwgate Carabiner:
I use this biner for my belay device, and it works great. The gate opens wide, and the keylock nose does not snag on anything. It is a pretty big biner, so I wouldn't use it aa an anchor biner or anything like that, but it works great for a belay device. The locking sleeve turns nicely, and has larger threads than Petzl biners, which I like because the sleeve won't spin when you put your thumb on it to open the biner.

Comments about Black Diamond Rocklock Screwgate Carabiner:
Like the other reviewers, I've also noticed that this biner can cross load sometimes if its loaded and unloaded a lot, because its not quite as D-shaped as some others. Used properly though its rock solid and rope runs over it super smoothly since its super thick, rounded, and has a huge gate. Its my favorite belay biner.

Comments about Black Diamond Rocklock Screwgate Carabiner:
A cost-effective large biner for all-around use. When I setup outdoor toprope, I clip two of them around my masterpoint and run the dynamic rope through them. The HMS-style biner is also large enough to easily setup a Munter hitch.

Comments about Black Diamond Rocklock Screwgate Carabiner:
Great biner. No question.
These huge, low-cost, beefy, colorful, easy to clip, locking, biners are simply fantastic. The keylock is superb! Never again will you be stuck fighting to get the webbing out of your biner or your biner out of a bolt. Simply put, I can't buy standard gate biners anymore. I love the colors and the gates are really easy to use regardless of ice, snow, or mud.
These carabiners are so good that I'm hard pressed to say anything bad about these biners. But... they do crossload easily (especially on a drop/diaper harness), they scratch really easily and lose their pretty color after little use (a good sign of wear though...), and they are a bit heavy (but then again they are HUGE).
These are great for belaying, rappelling, storing gear on your rack, setting up pulley systems/anchors/etc, and generally using them anywhere you need a big, safe, and secure biner.
You can't beat them for the price!

Comments about Black Diamond Rocklock Screwgate Carabiner:
i bought this biner for my two inch slack line hoping that the two inch side was going to be big enough to lay the line flat with out bending putting to many kinks in it. for those of you who dont know what im talking about, slacklining is like tight rope walking, except with tubeler nylon climing webbing. my 2" line needed bigger biners obviously because its a bigger line than the one inch line. imagine the two inch flat line trying to rest flatly on the rounded and of a one inch biner. its gonna bend and if you need that line to be flat to keep proper tension it becomes a problem. now luckily i didnt have this problem too much. it sat flat enough to were the tension would hold. but as for all you other slackliners out there, try and find another "bigger" biner for your two inch line. if you cant and these are the biggest you can find, well [*]give the little guys a chance and let em do there duty and hold some tension. high tension rating as well, good product black diamond.

Great carabiners for clipping those anchor bolts at the top of your first redpoint 5.15. Or, if you're like me, and only dream of climbing at that level, they still work great.

Comments about Black Diamond Rocklock Screwgate Carabiner:
This is a great all around 'biner. The key-lock is really what makes it worthwhile. Great value for the low price.
My only complaint is that putting your colored tape on it doesn't allow a GriGri to freely slide down the spine.
