Comments about Julbo Typhoon Polarized Photochromic Sunglasses:
THESE GLASSES ARE A GREAT FIT FOR KAYAKING/SAILING. THE POLARIZED LENSES PERFORM WELL EVEN AGAINST OUR TROPICAL SUN GLARE. THE LEASH IS EASY TO USE AND THEY ARE COMFORTABLE FOR HOURS ON END. I ONLY HAVE TWO "BUTS" ABOUT THESE GLASSES. THE PHOTOCHROMIC CHANGE IN COLOR DEPTH IS BARELY NOTICEABLE SO I HAVE TO TAKE THEM OFF NEAR SUNSET AS THEY ARE VERY DARK. ALSO, THE "SCRATCHPROOF" LENSES ARE TOUGH AND IN FACT I HAVE NOT PHYSICALLY SCRATCHED THEM IN ALMOST A YEAR, BUT BOTH LENSES HAVE DEVELOPED UNIFORM VERY TINY STRESS CRACKS MUCH LIKE AN OLD LEXAN NALGENE BOTTLE DOES. CONSEQUENTLY, VISUAL ACUITY HAS DEFINITELY DEGRADED SINCE PURCHASE. KIND OF A BUMMER FOR OTHERWISE EXCELLENT WATERPLAY SUNGLASSES.

The Good:
I give these glasses five stars for clarity, comfort, polarization and construction. I think I see better with them on then off. So far my abuse has not scratched the lenses.
The Bad:
The neck strap is not very secure. I've knocked it loose multiple times. The photochromic range is very limited, under marginal light they are too dark, under extreme bright light they could be darker. I've also have moderate problems with fogging under humid conditions at temperatures as high as 70 degrees.
