Comments about Twenty Two Designs Hammerhead Telemark Bindings:

I have skied these bindings for probably 4 seasons now.. was actually the first person to buy the Hammerhead from "22 Designs" the day they took over the product. Very stable. Love the adjustability. The design is very practical and well engineered. Design improvements have been easy to incorporate onto old bindings and the upgraded pieces have been offered at very affordable prices.

Clipping in can sometimes be a problem if you are in deep snow... but the inconvenience is only 1-2 times a day after taking skis off.

The cable and spring set-up is incredibly smooth as there is no slip point reached when in a deep tele turn. The tension is consistent at all times. Would recommend them to almost anyone. They are non-releasable.. so I wouldn't recommend them to a beginning skier for safety reasons, but advanced or skilled skiers that are new to telemarking should have zero problems and will definitely enjoy these bindings.

Comments about Twenty Two Designs Hammerhead Telemark Bindings:

This is a great binding for those who want to put the grind to the mountain. Very powerful and active. A little tough on the legs while skinning up. I have seen the 2010 prototype pivot binding, looks awesome but very expensive. I believe when the new design is available and cheaper, it will be even better than the current design.

Comments about Twenty Two Designs Hammerhead Telemark Bindings:

This is the binding that has slowly replaced all the other bindings on my tele skis. It is reliable (no side cables or wires to break), versatile (5 adjustable pivot points allow for more or less activity for different snow conditions), and powerful - it really allows for smooth and controlled transitions through the entire turn.

It also accommodates a wide range of boot sizes with no different cable lengths required, unlike many other bindings which must be ordered in short or small sizes. It adjusts easily, too, with a spin of the adjustment coil in the heel tubes.

This is the one binding I have used that has never pre-released, broken, or had cables loosen up while skiing or in transit on the top of the truck. I believe this is a product that sets the standard for performance in telemark bindings so far (NTN might change that, but not available to enough people yet).
