Comments about Profile Stryke Kage:
I will have to say you get what you pay for. These are cheap cages and very lightweight, but their durability is certainly a question mark. I have owned many of these. I had a pair that broke after maybe 6 months of use. They cracked near the bolt to the frame, so I thought that I possibly over-tightened the bolts. REI exchanged them for a new pair which I have ridden now for another 6 months or so before they again cracked and broke, this time causing me to lose a nice bottle in a ravine.
These cages do not hold up well under a bit of duress. It seems that the constant shimmy and shake of rougher roads or bumps cause too much rattle and eventually crack these cages.
In addition, for users who have moved over to the Camelbak Podium bottles, the lip at the top of the cage does not fit like a classic bottom shape, so the bottles are forced outward slightly adding stress to the cage. I have dropped bottles a few times with minor rattles because the bottle does not fit snug. This I believe aided in destruction of these cages, though I think it would have happened either way.
Not great cages.

Yes, these are very light weight cages. Have raced many of miles in mountain bike races, both collegiate and now post-college and have NEVER had a bottle fall out of the holder. I have broken several of these either during a crash or while transporting a bike, but hey, they are cheap and are plastic. I usually have an extra one or two lying around. I absolutley love these, and would never want to use anything else.

Bought two of these to replace other cages I had problems with. They were easy to install. I have used them only on two long rides, but so far they keep my bottles well. Cheap, light, yet strong feeling: perfect! Now I hope they last longer than what other people reported here!

Lightweight and fits bottle well. Plastic seems flimsy and could break but on smooth road works ok and I exercise care.

This is an update to my previous review. Mine finally did break, I leaned the bike against a tree and an extending branch pushed both bottle cages too far and they cracked. This was after a little over a full year of riding with them on a mountain bike and doing some rough races. Before they broke they were great, easy to get the bottle in and out and held it securely. In the end I replaced them with some metal cages because the color I wanted wasn't in stock; I'd get them again, just know that they'll eventually break after a year or two (like most cages do, really).

Comments about Profile Stryke Kage:
I bought this expecting it to break and I would have to return it. It's been through a full season of mountain biking and I'm very happy with them. I hope they don't break, but if they do I'll get some new ones.
I put these on my fully rigid 29er mountain bike. For me, they hold bottles just fine. I've lost two bottles this entire year and that's because I didn't put them in all the way. As a caveat, I use the Camelbak Podium 24oz bottles, and the slightly larger size and stiff sides of these bottles does make them stay in cages better than other bottles. With the soft regular bottles they may not work as well. But with that combo, fully rigid and rough stuff has still not combined to eject my bottles. Heck, I made it the entire Tahoe Sierra 100 without ejecting a bottle, and that course is ROUGH.
I've been happy with them, they hold my bottles and haven't broken in my specific situation. Based on other reviews mileage obviously varies a lot.

Comments about Profile Stryke Kage:
I really like this cage. I can imagine that if it was mounted on the seat tube and not the down tube, you could run into some issues when breaking heavily with a full bottle. However with where mine is mounted, it's been very stable so far. And at this price, if it broke I would just buy another. It looks good too. I might not recommend it for intense mountain biking though.

Comments about Profile Stryke Kage:
Both of these broke within a couple months. They were not very strong (lost a couple bottles) and cracked easily.
If only one were to have broken I wouldn't be as concerned, but BOTH broke within weeks of each other and never really held the bottles well in the first place.

I've replace this product 5 times within a year. Good thing I'm not really wasting money when I return the broken cage for a new one. This is the only "plus side" to this owning this cage. After mounting a new cage it's only a matter time until it snaps, breaks or shatters from the pressure of holding an item it's intended to hold.

Comments about Profile Stryke Kage:
My wife and I ride small frame road bikes. With classical metal cages it was difficult to get the bottles out because of the frame clearance. The Stryke Kage makes access to the bottles easy. We have had no issues with bottle security.
