The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about SOLE Ed Viesturs Signature Series Custom Footbeds - High Volume:
These inserts (or footbeds) are used mainly in my hiking boots for comfort, support, and to absorb a lot of the impact involved in hiking trails and mountain climbing. Have used others but these are the best I have found mainly because of my high arches. This is my second pair which I plan to use in climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro in August 2013. They are extremely comfortable and I don't wind up nursing my feet after a long hike. They provide fantastic support for my whole foot, not just my arch. The difference between regular inserts and these is enormous if you plan to walk in rocky terrain or in a rough environment. At the end of the day they are worth the price, my feet are worth much more.

I am a runner that has struggled with plantar fasciitis. The hard custom inserts were too hard for me but the Sole inserts are perfect! I keep them in my running shoes, my fun shoes and I use the winter ones for my workboots (EMS). The inserts last a long time and hold up to my constant activity.

Comments about SOLE Ed Viesturs Signature Series Custom Footbeds - High Volume:
I'm on my feet most of my work day. I run for cardio and do pretty intense leg workouts a couple times a week in hiking boots for stability and support.
I've got a pair of these insoles in all of my shoes. They're what I buy whenever REI offers a discount coupon.
I prefer these to Superfeet Green.

True fit, comfortable in variety of shoes. Sales staff very helpful in determining correct insert to buy and helped w/ fit. Price is a little high, but product is quality.

Comments about SOLE Ed Viesturs Signature Series Custom Footbeds - High Volume:
During a recent trip to a thrift store, I stumbled across an almost brand new pair of Merrell Low top light hikers. They were only $8.00 but the insole was missing from one of the shoes. We immediately went to REI in Conshohocken and bought a set of these insoles and I havent taken the shoes off since!
The fitting/molding process took only a few minutes in the oven. The directions were spot on.
I really like the fact that I can take them out and put them into any other pair of shoes that I own.
Great product for a great price!!

Comments about SOLE Ed Viesturs Signature Series Custom Footbeds - High Volume:
These had the highest arch of anything I could find in REI, and they made the difference between a super sore morton's toe and a great, enjoyable hike through the Santa Lucia's.
These kept up there support through moderate, 10 mile, 2600 v. ft days, even under 300 lbs of weight (me and pack).
The downside is, as with many high arched insoles, these took up a lot of space in my hiking shoes (Teva 4103), so it didn't cup my heal as well as it did with the previous insoles.
If you, as I do, already have high volume feet, you may struggle to find a shoe or boot with enough volume for these and your feet. If you can though, they're great for the arch, and shaped my foot well enough to relieve most, if not all, of the pressure from morton's toe.

It took a while to find these great food beds on the REI site, but I was glad when I did. This is my third pair, they work well for me, and I have really weird feet and neuropathy.
Comments about SOLE Ed Viesturs Signature Series Custom Footbeds - High Volume:
After wearing these for several months and hoping I'd get used to them, I finally had to give up. I found that the arch support was just "too aggressive." It's too high and hurts my feet. If you need a lot of arch support these may be for you, but if you have a neutral foot these may be a little too much for you.

Comments about SOLE Ed Viesturs Signature Series Custom Footbeds - High Volume:
My doctor had recommended Superfeet inserts, however they did not have a high enough arch to support my foot. While these are not perfect, the Signature Series Custom Footbeds have a higher arch, have been durable, and far cheaper than custom orthotics.

i am 52yr old flight attendant. i used to ski rock climb hike and participate in many sports living in colorado. now im post 8 surgeries including total hip replacement. i have leg descrepency and am post acl reconstruction. i have arthritis in spine/other original hip. ive tried: mega comfort insoles, aetrex (the walking company) insoles and now sole insoles. aetrex expensive and only last 6 months. both aetrex and mega comfort dont last cuz memory foam doesnt remember...(thats a joke ...but true statement)....sole insole offers more/better support while still comfy...and costs less and lasts longer. i have so many osteo problems but thanx to these insoles...i can walk all day as flight attendant and work out without limping like i was pre-sole brand insoles. i would recommend these insoles to anyone. they are life savers. heres to happy feet :)
