Comments about Deuter Futura 28 Pack:

I'm going on my fifteenth year of bicycle commuting and I haven't found a more comfortable pack for a long commute. Absolutely second to none. I've used it basically every day for two years and would still be using it except the zipper failed. Its a reoccurring problem with most day-packs.
The hidden stowaway rain-cover pouch is large enough to stash an extra tube and small tools. The hydro-sack pouch is handy for keeping a pump and light gloves or a laptop. The main compartment is perfect for summer commuting but just a little small in the winter. I managed by hanging gear off the two gear loops on the side. More gear loops (centrally located) and an integrated shovel pack would make the pack cherry-perfect. It will hold a weeks worth of groceries on a trip to the market, but just barely. The side pocket is inconvenient when the side compression strap is buckled so I left it unbuckled most of the time. There is a flap that zippers shut to divide the compartment top and bottom, but I never used it because for daily use it shifts the center of gravity up too high. That being said, it is overall, an excellent pack.

Comments about Deuter Futura 28 Pack:

I hike through the desert carrying 4 liters of water, and this pack exceeds my expectations. The mesh back is great, and has held up well so far. The weight is balanced perfectly, and I hardly feel like I am carrying anything. The padding on the shoulder straps and waist belt is quite soft and comfy.

Comments about Deuter Futura 28 Pack:

I took this pack with me to Seaside, Oregon for a week long spring break. It holds all the essentials for a nice day trip through the city, a hike up a mountain, or a day at the zoo. In fact I did all of those and this little pack was perfect for all those activities. The back suspension is the best part and there is enough room for some clothes, maps, electronics and food. The included rain cover was perfect for those rainy Oregon days. This pack is perfect for the urban explorer who also likes exploring the wilderness. Great for day hikes in the city and the woods. Highly recommended.

Comments about Deuter Futura 28 Pack:

The only problem is some might think there isn't enough room with this pack, but I have never had any problems getting what I need in this pack. Deuter's Aircomfort Back System does take away some space but the cooling system works well and keeps you cooler than other pack. I would pick this pack over any other one out there and this one comes with a rain cover.

Comments about Deuter Futura 28 Pack:

After three and a half years of regular use the pack still looks great. It works for lightwieght summer overnights. Sightseeing and amusement park trips with all the families gear snacks and water for the day. I have had no problems with it. Exrta tie down points would be nice. My laptop fits in the hydration sleeve during bicycle commuting. I have abused the zippers with no failures. I have crammed alot of stuff in it. Great air flow. The rain cover works well.
