    Comments about Lipsmackin' Vegetarian Backpackin':

I love this book and have already bought a second copy for a friend. I've been working through all of the recipes one by one and am rarely dissapointed. The recipes are gathered from folks across the country and use very random ingredients and combinations, like Lime Kool-aid to make pad thai or a curry ramen with raisins and cashews! Sounds crazy when you read it but it works. Every recipe gives the trail weight, calories and fat breakdown, among other things. The book is broken up into Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Drinks but the Lunch options are weak if you expect more than just 20 varieties of trail mix. The breakfast is also a little lacking in my mind but I don't fry food for breakfast (pancakes,...). The dinner section makes up for the lack of variety in other departments, which is probably why you'll buy the book anyway.

If you're someone who already has experience with pre-preparing food for the trail you'll love this.
