Comments about Princeton Tec Corona LED Headlamp:

I have owned this light for years and it is hands down the best flashlight I have ever used. It is so good that I have three of them (one in the car, one in my pack and one for the house). I was concerned when I made the transition to a headlamp but this is so comfortable to wear that I don't even notice. Being hands free with such a bright light is addictive. It has reached the point where I refuse to use any other flashlight. I really like the fact that you can adjust the brightness (one bulb for reading a book or map and all eight for illuminating the entire campsite or trail). Even one bulb is powerful enough to actually hike some trails - all eight really makes it feel like it's daytime. This truly is the brightest flood light I have seen. Add to that its durability and water resistance and it really is perfect.

Comments about Princeton Tec Corona LED Headlamp:

I'm an Army medic and an avid cyclist. This light has been in continuous use for nearly 5 years both in the field and mounted on my bike helmet. Its been through many scrapes with me and has never let me down. This light is truly awesome. It excels as a patient examination light because of it's wide distortion free beam and high light output. I have used this light for everything from cycle commuting, setting up field hospitals in the dark, to designating a landing site for incoming medevac helicopters. This light converted my entire battalion to using head lights for patient care, and non tactical night opps due to the increased safety margin from increased visibility not only for the wearer but also for heavy equipment operators working in close proximity to pedestrians at night. People wearing headlights are much easier to spot and in addition the vehicle operator can see which direction they are looking / moving.

Comments about Princeton Tec Corona LED Headlamp:

This is one that you should have the only negative is size ,it uses a battery pack of 3AA,size does matter!! this light blows all AAA types out the door.and it has about half the battery life.30/70 as to 75/140 or so they say.It weighs about 2 oz more than AAA type.I set the head lamp on 5 led on low setting option it died at 83 hours, better than most AAA types.Use this light for emergency's,Tail gate Camping or as I do for Back Packing.

Comments about Princeton Tec Corona LED Headlamp:

This light is great for a number of uses; I especially like using it for long paddling trips where the weight is not an issue and the distance of the beam can be a real life saver if you don't make it to the destination before nightfall (happened while thru-paddling the Everglades). It can also be rigged up into a great bike light because the beams cover a wide area.
The main thing to keep in mind is that it is heavy, so if you are a true ultralight person it may not be optimal. If that doesnt matter and you need the longer life for longer trips or the extreme brightness of the light, this is the headlamp for you.
The fact that you can change the number of lamps used to save power is very convenient.
If you want a lighter headlamp, check out the fuel which is still bright and superlight - great for night running.

Very much enjoy the lamp. Great for biking and walking, really brightens the path. Also great for use around the house, general chores frees up both hands. I especially use it when working on my stereo, all those cables get confusing. All around great lamp to have.

Comments about Princeton Tec Corona LED Headlamp:

I used this light recently for a weekend trip to the Sylvania Wilderness area and could not have been more impressed. Even in cooler temps where my previous headlamps have needed at least one battery replacement in the same duration, this lamp maintained a consistent brightness. I had no trouble seeing in any conditions, and the fact that it doesn't over heat on your forehead is an added comfort.

The only downside is the weight, but compared to the performance, and cost of replacement batteries (3 AA vs. an expensive speciatly battery), this is really a non-issue.

although this headlamp is used for camping, i also used it for fishing at night on the beach shores in San Clemente (pitch black), would probably got lost without it. also catching crawfish in the rivers and streams of Greensville up north. not only it's a killer value,it's also the brightest for the price and reliability.
