Comments about REI Tuff Lite Compression Sack - 6 x 15:
I got this compression sack for a bike trip and one week into the trip, when I was compressing my clothing, the stitching on one of the straps broke. Needless to say, this was quite an inconvenience ... and so far from an REI store. Given that this falls within the parameters of the expected use of a compression sack, I would have to say that this was a pretty flimsy piece of equipment.

Comments about REI Tuff Lite Compression Sack - 6 x 15:
like reviews before mine, this bag needs to hold up to its intended purpose at the very minimum... but it doesn't. Mine tore before even tightening the straps for compression. I intended on using it for my sleeping bag, as I have used a heavier (but functional) compression bag for years and thought I'd get something lighter. Now I am back to my other bag until I can get to the store to exchange this one. I believe this bag would work great if it had a kevlar cord reinforcing the edge of the fabric, but alas, it does not. Hopefully the next version of this bag will be great. This was a rare disappointment.

Comments about REI Tuff Lite Compression Sack - 6 x 15:
I had exactly the same problem as the other reviewer, although I had used it for a bit longer before the strap tore. I even stitched it back up, in a (misguided) attempt to make it slightly more heavy duty than it had been, but the fabric just isn't durable enough for the continual stress it endures. I would say just skip it, and save yourself the time and trouble: buy another brand.

Comments about REI Tuff Lite Compression Sack - 6 x 15:
Just got back from hiking for three days on the Snowdonia MT in Wales. This bag is to small for my sleeping bag but it was great for my clothes. I saved a lot of space by doing this. The only problem if you call it that is it didn't stay in shape. Takeing it on a five day to scafell pike in Nov. and am confident it will do well.

Comments about REI Tuff Lite Compression Sack - 6 x 15:
I use this compression sack mostly for carrying extra clothes, especially in the winter. I own several of these and use them most trips whether just a winter day hike, backpacking or in the canoe in a dry bag. The material is light, so you have to be a little careful in how much you are trying to pack in the sack, but I have many different compression sacks and this seems to hold up as well as any. (I have blown out a cordura compression sack by over stuffing).
