Comments about Camper's Dream Ice Cream Ball:
Bought this as a gift for some avid campers and they raved about how fun making the ice cream was. They'd just play toss with the ball while waiting for it.

Comments about Camper's Dream Ice Cream Ball:
When I'm in the stores I see a lot of people pick these up. Often they dismiss them as a gimmick. Well, they really work. And, they are simple to use. I take mine on drift boat trips down the river where it often hits 100 degrees in the summer. Everyone is amazed when I pull out my ice cream ball and start making ice cream in the heat of the day. The only hard part about it is deciding what flavor to make. It's so easy to use that my wife and I use it at home all the time also. Go for it, you won't regret it.

Comments about Camper's Dream Ice Cream Ball:
I saw this in a camping catalogue a few months ago; when my ice cream-loving nephew's 5th birthday was coming up, I thought that this would be perfect for him (if it worked as well as advertised).[$] I called around to REIs in my area to see who had one in stock and we drove down there today and picked it up. It was [$] We added half and half, sugar and a couple drops of peppermint extract.....DELICIOUS! After 10 minutes of goofing around with the ball, we stirred and scraped down the sides. then played for another 5 or 10 and opened it up. Lo and Behold: the best peppermint ice cream EVER!

We bought this product and have used it a lot. We bought the bigger one. We made an ice cream cake out of the chocolate ice cream and vanilla. We put cool-wip in between the vanilla and chocolate ice cream then all around the edges. After that we decorated it with chocolate pieces. It was yummy and the ice cream was very good!

Comments about Camper's Dream Ice Cream Ball:
I bought this ice cream maker based on the positive reviews. I've used other ice cream makers that didn't live up to their hype, but this one ROCKS! So easy to clean and use. My 6 yr old son made ice cream - start to finish - all by himself last night. The ONLY ingredient we used was low fat eggnog! The ice cream came out creamy and delicious after less than 10 minutes of rolling the ball around on the floor with his 2 yr old brother. It made enough for 4 of us, and we couldn't be happier with the other recipes we've made as well. We use very little ice (24 crushed ice cubes). We use a rubber spatula to squeegee out every last drop of ice cream when serving it, and this makes for very little clean-up. Additionally, we made ice cream on a recent long roadtrip after asking for ice from a drive-thru restaurant and combining it with vanilla soymilk, sugar and strawberries from our cooler. YUM!

Comments about Camper's Dream Ice Cream Ball:
I bought this for a camping trip with my 6 yr old daughter. Was unsure about product as I had not seen before visiting store and did not get a chance to read any reviews. WOW, what a surprise when we used, ice cream was great, directions easy to follow and made for some nice down time at our camp site. We used skim milk instead of cream (directions said would take extra 10 min but was not the case) and be prepared to use close to a full 10 lb bag of ice but worth the time and effort!
