The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Cocoon Silk Mummy Liner:
I am not the hugest silk fan, but we were looking for liners for some recently acquired TNF bags. After a lot of persuasion by a friend we decided on the silk Cocoon and not any of the cotton or synthetic models.
Using the liner completely eliminated any dead spots in the bags, and the silk is very comfortable. It does seem a bit thin, but the seams are tough and it's easy to get in to so I could see it lasting a while.
On our last trip we had some very cold nights in the Mojave and both of us slept like babies. Better than some nights at home (although that might be the cat's fault). The liners are a great improvement over the nylon inside the bag since the raw bag inside was tending to turn my skin moist and greasy, apparently they protect the sleeping bag just as much!
This is a great, lightweight product that does exactly what it says. The ripstop version might last a little longer (I don't know) but these seem tough and light and I couldn't be more pleased!

Comments about Cocoon Silk Mummy Liner:
A bag liner is essential gear after a long sweaty day on the trail.
On cold nights it keeps me warmer. On cool nights I can throw my down bag over it as a blanket. On warm nights the liner might be all that I need.
I could not ask for anything lighter or more compact. I am 6' 1" and I find it roomy and comfortable. After about 30 nights in it I have not noticed any durability issues. Stuffing it in the sack is always fast and hassle free.

Comments about Cocoon Silk Mummy Liner:
I spent the $$ on this due to it's compact size as I prepared for a week long bike trip where I had to get my camping gear (including tent), biking gear and 10 days worth of clothing into one 40lb bag to get on the airplane. I should've left my sleeping bag at home as I never got it out the entire week. This liner was the perfect option for summer camping. I had a fleece blanket that I took along to use as a pillow and the one night it got below 70 I got that out. Otherwise, this was all I used all week. I'm thrilled that [...]recommended this to me and I recommend it as well.

Comments about Cocoon Silk Mummy Liner:
This liner is so compact and easy to pack we take it whether staying at friend's homes, in hotels, hostels or back country camping. It prevents unnecessary body oils from getting on your sleeping bag and protects delicate skin from questionable linens. We use them with mummy bags to protect and add warmth when needed or alone if in the desert or other unforgiving hot climate. My only minor gripe is that the silk bag doesn't have much give or stretch, but for the size and security it provides, it's a minor complaint.

Comments about Cocoon Silk Mummy Liner:
This is a great little liner - it's light, packs down to almost nothing, adds warmth, and keeps your sleeping bag cleaner. I've used this thing for 100+ nights over the last 4 years and it finally ripped around the edge of the "Cocoon" tag on the front. It went through the washer and dryer frequently, and it's still functional with the rip, just a little harder to use in the dark.
For something as delicate as silk, I'd consider it pretty durable. I carried this almost 1000 miles on a partial thru-hike of AT and would happily carry it again.

Comments about Cocoon Silk Mummy Liner:
Great product which weighs next to nothing; however, the extra comfort it brings is hard to beat. Provides extra warmth to the sleeping bag, or by itself on those warm summer nights when you still want something.

Comments about Cocoon Silk Mummy Liner:
The liner is one of the smallest and softest and adds more warmth than some of the bigger liners. It breaths and feels great whether its hot or cold out. It packs down VERY small and makes your bag warmer so it saves space that a warmer bag would require. Its much easier to hand wash after a trip than your whole sleeping bag, especially down bags. It is very durable for how thin and delicate they seem. The price is higher than some but it is good quality and works well for many years.

Comments about Cocoon Silk Mummy Liner:
I just bought this and tested it at home prior to a trip to Yellowstone, Morocco and the Sahara and believe it or not some of Florida's questionable hotel/motels. It was unbelievably soft and comfy, it kept out the air normally circulating around the body that keeps me cold in a New England winter even in my house. I am in love with this silk cocoon. It was not the least bit restrictive when sleeping, very soft to the skin and it is very small to pack with very little weight. This one is a winner! I am returning another cotton travel bag I bought at another store in favor of this one.

Comments about Cocoon Silk Mummy Liner:
I would buy this over and over again. I sleep with it in my bed at home! It is so comfortable. Make sure not to wash it with warm water, and especially dry cleaning, cause then it would feel like sleeping on fiber glass.

Comments about Cocoon Silk Mummy Liner:
I was looking for a replacement of the Cocoon summer bag, which is no longer made! But found this and it has since gone on many camping trips, both very cold situations and really hot. It works well to sleep in on top of regular bag when its 90* out!
