This XC ski conversion kit converts your Chariot carrier system for use on groomed--and even ungroomed--ski trails.

A set of quality Karhu™ foam core cross-country skis attach to your carrier for easy gliding on snow
Three-position telescoping dual towbars with waist harness ensure control and stability
Waist harness is padded for comfort and has an adjustable belt buckle for a precise fit
Skis and towbars remove quickly for easy packing and storing
Please note: in order to attach the XC ski kit to the CX chassis you must purchase the Axle Adapter separately

Recently purchased and have used several times skiing and snowshoeing - works well for both. Uncomplicated setup - though in cold weather trying to lineup holes for pins with no gloves can be a bit challenging. Handles all conditions extremely well, even going across a slope. My 1 year old likes it (meaning he falls asleep quickly). Can bottom out when cresting hills.

having this makes x-country skiing possible again for parents. i use mine down hills, through trees, on un-groomed trails, pretty much every where. its comfy, stable and slides along really well.

When we had our son, we couldn't wait to take him skiing. He is so warm and comfortable in this carrier and it is so easy to use. It is a little heavy up hills, but is good for training. I would buy this again. I just wish it were a bit less expensive.

Compared both the Chariot & Burley ski kits on the snow with each chassis--Advantage Chariot: Easier push-button ski attachment, sits higher off snow. Advantage Burley: Convenient push-button poles, less expensive. Both do the job well, although Burley's quick-release levers needed some adjustment to fit the axle housing for tightness, but the Chariot kit is much more expensive. Both are very similar in their design. Either will work & work well!

I agree with the other reviews, this product is great! My husband was skeptical when I first bought it, but I have used it numerous times. Last year we used it for our 2 older children when they got tired on the trail. The Chariot has a great storage area on the back of it that we could throw their skis and poles in when they had had enough...very hard to pull with large children (you won't go very fast), but this year I've been mainly using it for my infant who is now 8 months old. She falls asleep right away as we hit the trail and never wakes up until I'm taking the equipment apart at the end. She seems cozy and warm, so the wind cover seems sufficient for blocking out the MN wind! I used to ski competitively and still like to go fast...you definitely double your training time with this, but it's overall faster using the skate ski style vs. classic. With classic there is an issue with your forward momentum being cut off and it's harder to get much kick...but this isn't an issue with the product, but with the issue of pulling a heavy object behind you :) Other than a small problem with lining up the pins in the holes as one other reviewer noted, I have no issues with setup and am overall pleased that it's so darn easy! Great for a hard work-out in a short period of time! And the kids think it's a blast. Haven't used it snowshoeing, but I imagine it's wonderful.
