Himalyan Quest is the result of 15 years of Ed Viesturs's photography and experiences in the Himalaya.

Ed selected these photographs not necessarily for their artistic merits, but for their significance to him and their ability to convey a sense of place. These images will share with others what Ed has been lucky enough to see. Through a decade and a half of climbing in the Himalaya, Ed has traveled to amazing places few human beings ever travel and seen sights seldom viewed by others. These views remain a part of what draws him to the mountains. Ed is a climber first and a photographer second. He carries simple equipment; one camera, one lens. Photography at altitude is difficult. So, some of the shots here are ones Ed managed to squeeze out of his frozen camera. They will hopefully transport you to the high Himalayas and inspire and intrigue you as well.
