Comments about Gerber Paraframe II - Serrated:
Great knife at a reasonable price. Held up to all the standard abuse I put my camp knives to...it also looks pretty bad*ss...which is about as important to me in a knife as it's actualy functionality....my only complaint is that the belt clip would not always completely secure as I put it away...which was not a problem until the day I lost it...but at this price, I will not cry too hard about having to buy a new one.

Great knife!! Light-Locking blade.Very clean.
To the nice people talking about how dull it is?
Yes I've had sharper out of the box. Call me old fashioned. But I love sharpening my knife.I love all the work that goes into Backpacking.Working on stoves ect.

I have had the knife for 5 months now. I carry it daily and use it duite a bit at work. It fits great in a pocket, despite its larger size. It is easy to slip into a pack and take on the trails. the blade does seem to have dulled quite a bit in the short amount of time I have used it.

I bought this knife last year. It's a great knife... If I could only find it again. I lost it sometime last month and I miss it very much. Worth the money. Love the design.

This knife has served me well ever since I've owned it. It has been mostly used for campsite cooking and cutting up lunches while leading groups on the trail. The locking feature is great so that it doesn't close on fingers, and it is easy to clean. It is also a great every day knife that I carry around with me most of the time. If you plan on doing light backpacking, i would look into a smaller, lighter knife that will do the very same job as this one!

Comments about Gerber Paraframe II - Serrated:
I use this knife often while off-roading and hiking cutting ropes, or just anything in general, it sharpens easily despite it's quick dulling, and is super light-weight and non-interfering with whatever you put it on, the clip is a little stiff, but whilst hanging upside down off the side of a cliff, that's probably for the best. overall, excellent knife

Good knife, light, looks cool, cuts well.
Only problems I had were that its hard to open and the blade dulls quicker than my others.

Comments about Gerber Paraframe II - Serrated:
The quality of the blade is fine, but trying to close it is ridiculously difficult (and this also makes the knife dangerous from an accidental cut standpoint). Don't know if I just got one that doesn't work properly, but I STRONGLY recommend you try closing it at the store before you buy it. I even called Gerber tech support to find out if I was doing something wrong, and I wasn't. I am tossing mine in the trash and will find a knife (not a Gerber) that is easier to close.

Though it dull over time, it has taken a real beating! It's usally always with my, on my belt, its light, discrete. If you're good, you can just open it with the flick of the thumb.
