Comments about SKS Shockblade Front Fender:
I use it in some pretty rough terrain on a full suspension bike, through thick mud, puddles and streams.
You install a semi-permanent mounting attachment, then to install/remove the actual fender from the bike, it takes just a few seconds. (At first, it took a little finesse/jiggling but once you get the hang of it, it's a breeze.) Alone, it provides a surprising amount of protection against thick mud and splashes, stays put and is surprisingly sturdy given it's light weight and flexibility. I use it in combination with the SKS front Dirtboard and SKS Shockblade Rear Fender.
It took a couple of installation attempts to get the right fit for the semi-permanent mounting attachment. (Although it seemed a tight fit when first installed, it worked it's way out of the tube and fell out during rides a few times.) Keep an eye out the first few rides to make sure it doesn't work it's way lose. If so, go the next size up, even though it'll seem a tight fit.

Comments about SKS Shockblade Front Fender:
I bought this front fender after breaking a planet bike fender and was very pleased with the quality and design of the sks.
After about 5 months I broke the fender by dropping my bike. A little black electrical tape right at the 90 degree spot and it holds together just fine. I use these fenders on both my commuter and full suspension bikes.

Comments about SKS Shockblade Front Fender:
Attaching and detaching this fender is as quick and easy as can be (it only takes a second) and it keeps most of the spray from wet roads and muddy trails off your face.
This fender mounts on the bottom of your front steering column. On some bikes there will not be adequate room for this fender because the brake booster, brakes, or cables will be in the way. So check the clearance on your bike before you buy.
