Comments about MSR WindPro Stove:
After using other people's stoves for years, this was the first stove I bought for myself. The REI salesman talked me out of the white-gas version for this one, and I am glad he did. This is so simple to use, very clean, and no mess.
Boiled a couple liters of water in about 4-6 minutes at 43 degrees F for Mac and Cheese the first night and then we heated up some ready made soup. Next morning made instant oats and fried up some eggs. Loved that we could get the stove down to a simmer and do eggs over hard without burning them!
Only issue I had with the stove is that the fuel pipe seems to have moved after first use and is in the way of folding up. Showed it to REI and they said it wasn't normal, so they swapped it out. Hopefully it was a fluke and the next one doesn't have that issue. Also the "wind screen" is nothing more than a thin sheet of aluminum that you fold up, but at least it works and is light. Worried it might break at the fold lines with repeated use, but we will see.

Comments about MSR WindPro Stove:
I like how the stove has a wind shield; with the separate fuel and burner, it is safe, and it improves heating time. I also use a "cozy" on the fuel, thus the fuel burns more efficiently, so the stove behaves better. I also always turn the fuel can upside down. With the stable design, these "tricks" make the stove very efficient. I used one small fuel canister on a 7 day trip for two, using it an average of twice a day. I also like the adjustable flame. This stove also is very dependable; I have fed groups of up to 8 using this stove. I would buy again! Its extra very few ounces are worth the effectiveness.

Comments about MSR WindPro Stove:
My only beef is that is just doesn't fold up as nice as I would like, a touch on the bulky side. Other then that quick boil time, great pancakes, awesome temp control.

Comments about MSR WindPro Stove:
Best stove I have ever used. Packs very well, lights all the time in wind, snow or rain. I would also suggest buying the base for extra stability.

Comments about MSR WindPro Stove:
Astonishingly simple: just press the hose on to the fuel canister, twist ignition, and light. Like others have said, it cools down very quickly after turning it off. And, it's extremely light weight. The burner may be the widest burner of all backpacking stoves, which I like because it distributes heat very well for frying eggs and sausage. Plus, it's very stable sitting on the ground, which gives you more options in varied terrain. I've used it in 40-degree F weather, and it works like a charm: Quick to light and easy to simmer. It also comes with a heavy tin foil-like wind screen, but I've not needed it so far. If all you want to do is boil water, there are cheaper alternatives with much smaller burners. But, it you want to cook a breakfast or supper, the WindPro is the way to go.

Comments about MSR WindPro Stove:
It makes a great ourdoor burner for RV camping. Small and light and the gas last a very long time. Easily handles a 2qt pan full of water. Care should be used if using on a wooden table as it may burn. We use a tile as a base.

Comments about MSR WindPro Stove:
I bought this stove for use on my backpacking trips, and I love it. It is a cinch to light and my MSR blacklite cookware sits nice and steady on the stove. The wind screen and heat reflector come in handy as well. Packing it is easy too since it fits in my blacklite pot, as I imagine it would with most other brands. I guess the only thing one could consider a "con" to the Windpro is that it's a little challenging to use the handle on the frying pan when the wind screen is up. But other than that it's amazing. The stove boils water fast, and after my last 4 day, 3 night trip, I still had some gas left in the canister.

Comments about MSR WindPro Stove:
Great stove but when its cold, you have to hold the cartridge upside down by hand to use liquid feed mode. Needs a stand, ah-la Jetboil, to hold the cartridge.

Comments about MSR WindPro Stove:
Used for a week for two people. Used three times a day and only used 2 canisters of fuel. Great stove, boils extremely fast, very stable on almost all surfaces. The only bad thing is that it is slow to get going on cold mornings. I would definitely buy this again.
