Comments about Metolius Grip Saver Plus:
This product sounds like a good idea however one of the finger loops detached after using it for one day.

Comments about Metolius Grip Saver Plus:
This product is great, until the rubber bit(s) break. Even if the rubber isn't used for a while, it begins to decompose (crack and peel) while sitting in a drawer. Fantastic idea, extremely poor follow-through.

Comments about Metolius Grip Saver Plus:
I like this product, but the materials need to be a little better. I got mine at the beginning of the year, and would use it either as a cool down after climbing, or during periods where I couldn't get to the gym or find a boulder to climb. It worked well, and I really do think it helped my hands recover faster. The problem was that after 3-4 months, one of the rubber rings for the fingers broke. Fortunately I took it back and was able to get it replaced. The one thing I would change would be the quality of the rubber, so as not to crack after a couple months of use or need replacement.

Comments about Metolius Grip Saver Plus:
Ignore the whole bit about hand strengthening, this thing wont improve your grip. What it will do, however, is help balance your forearm muscles. That sore spot on the outside of your elbow, just below the joint? Thats lateral epicondylitis (of course, don't trust me, ask your doctor). Thats your tendon saying "Hey, whatever that is you're doing to me, STOP". But you can't stop, can you? You're an addict. Use this every few days while sitting in front of the TV and in no time that elbow pain will start to fade away. Its more comfortable than simply using a rubber band for finger extensor resistance. I hear they break after a while...hasn't happened to me yet.

Comments about Metolius Grip Saver Plus:
This product is great for preventing hand/finger injuries and for cooling down after a day of climbing. If not for the weak rubber cord, i'd give it 5 stars. The thumb loop broke after 1.5 months, so i contacted Metolius and they sent me a new cord free of charge. Then the new cord broke in 2 weeks, so i returned the entire item.

Comments about Metolius Grip Saver Plus:
Same problem here as other reviewers - I bought this product hoping to balance my forearm muscles. Apparently, in an older version, they included small and large elastic bands, but I got "one size fits all". I have large hands (10" span, 8" heel of palm to tip of middle finger) and the bands obviously didn't work for me. I broke the first (thumb loop) within a week, exchanged it at the store for another and broke that in a few days (thumb loop again). Then I contacted Metolius and got two replacement bands in the mail for free. They told me they had had a run of bad bands, so I was hopeful these would work. Nope - I broke the next one the first or second time I used it (yep - the thumb loop). Rather than break the fourth one, I just gave the thing to a friend to rid myself of it.
Not a bad idea - but stay away for sure if you wear XL gloves or larger.
