Comments about Rubbermaid Action Packer - 24 Gallon:
The durability more than makes up for the extra cost. I loaded one up with car camping gear, and wound up buying a second. You can load these Packers up with heavy gear, and you can pack other heavy items on top of them, so it makes packing for a camping trip a lot easier. See the photo with stove, latern, flashlights, plastic sinks, pan, pots etc. I also put a lot more in it than the photo shows.

Comments about Rubbermaid Action Packer - 24 Gallon:
I moved overseas and brought along some breakable stuff in the action packers. It keep them safe and I had no damage to my personal belongings. If they can stand up to international travel these things can withstand anything!

Great product to store or organize your outdoor gear. Strong enough to stack heavier loads. Cost is only issue...priced 25% more than elsewhere.

Comments about Rubbermaid Action Packer - 24 Gallon:
I have 10 action packers all different sizes. They last a long time. I bought my first one in the early 90's and it's still going strong. They hold up well in rain or snow. Most of my camping gear is stored in them. I have one that is starting to fade from being in the sun so much. Even so its still in great shape. Got to love Rubbermaid!

Comments about Rubbermaid Action Packer - 24 Gallon:
I bought two of these years ago, had all sorts of paper like material inside such as year books, old homework assignment, high school sweetheart photos, etc. Left it outside in the backyard. It got rained on, expose to hot summer, etc. 10 years later, reopened it and everything was like how I left it. The only thing that faded was the top lid and red handle. This thing is bomb proof. Get it here because I haven't seen it anywhere else.

Comments about Rubbermaid Action Packer - 24 Gallon:
We used six of these on a two month car camping trip. They filled up the back of our pickup and kept everything organized and easy to find. The great thing is you can set them outside in the rain and everything stays dry. You can sit or stand on them too. You can buy less expensive totes, but they won't hold up like Action Packers.

Comments about Rubbermaid Action Packer - 24 Gallon:
We've had one in each size for years. They went to camp cook school with me, where they were multi-purpose tent furniture/storage. On car trips, the small one carries a kit of picnic equipment. I'm planning to buy more as part of our fire evacuation preparedness program.

Comments about Rubbermaid Action Packer - 24 Gallon:
During car camping trips while growing up, my family used one of these to keep our outdoor supplies perennially organized. Tent spikes, matches, hatchet, spare propane, table cloth, rope, tent broom etc. We never needed to pack up too much before a trip because it stayed stored like this in the basement. Now that I am better organizing car camping kit for my own family, I have purchased a pair of these; the 24 and 8 gallon. We will be using the 24 to hold stove, small axe, etc. and the 8 to hold our dry foods for the trip. The plan is to keep these packed and ready, so that a moments notice we can ice up the cooler, grab the 3 day packs with our other gear and hit the road! The local REI had these on shelf which was awesome because I didn't feel like waiting for [...] and they have been hard to find. Giant [...] down the road doesn't even have them. One last thing, as a boy we did leave our AP out one night, and woke up to a camp site littered with the aftermath of a raccoon pillage. The little guys can pull the handles down, so wedge it under the bench of a picnic table or keep it in the car if you have any food smells nearby and animals may be on the prowl.

Comments about Rubbermaid Action Packer - 24 Gallon:
Keeps gear in one safe and dry place. I love the fact you can just grab and go without looking for where you might have put your gear the last time you used it.
