I bought my Chota boots at [...]. They really are very comfortable, the most comfortable boots I've every owned. I wish I could recommend them, but the pair I purchased started leaking soon after my purchase. Whenever I step in water, my left sock gets soaked shortly afterward. At over [$], I feel like I've wasted my money.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
I've used these boots on two 10+ day raft trips in Alaska. Everyone else was jealous when their rubber boots flooded or their feet got cold. Mine were dry and warm. [I did get damp in them after a total immersion capsize; but at least my feet were warm!] At the end of the second trip, one boot sprung a slight leak at a seam, but a little silcon goo fixed it right up. My size 6's are a tad narrow in the toe for me(or I've gained weight?), so they pinch me a little if I hike in them more than a mile or so. Therefore, I am about to order 1 size larger in case I want to both boat and hike without changing shoes.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
