  • Classified as a skin protectant by the EPA, transparent Z-Cote gives broad-spectrum protection to your skin
  • Water-free formula helps your skin retain moisture and warmth in extreme cold conditions; no water means it will not freeze
  • Aloe and vitamin E sooth and promote healing of sunburned skin and chapped lips

Active ingredients: zinc oxide (8.5%), octocrylene (8%), octinoxate (7.5%). Inactive ingredients: carnauba wax, isopropyl palmitate (and) isopropyl myristate (and) aloe barbadensis leaf extract, lanolin, fragrance, petrolatum, sorbitan sesquioleate, tocopheryl acetate (vitamin E).

      I used this as my lip protection on a recent backpacking trip in the Henry Mountains and during a summit of Mt. Ellen (elev. 11,500) and it kept my lips from getting sun and wind burned. A little bit of it goes a long way. Its not a bright pink color like the lip protection some of the people I traveled with had that makes you look like you are wearing lipstick.

      Only downsides: if you screw it on really tight it is difficult to open (easily remedied by not screwing it on very tight). Taste isn't great (what do you expect?), but its not horrible.

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

        This is my favorite Dermatone product (trust me I love them all and I am an avid user and preacher of this companies products!) It is slim and fits into any pocket..it is great for your face in hot sun and is alos the best for New England Skiing...totally keeps the "pins and needles" of the negative temperature and wind blow ice..my face stays safe from frostbite and sunburn..I hate the racoon eyes..and I had none all last year! Smells great too.

        Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
